Treat Staff nerfed?

Glad I did none of this stuff and just leveled as much as I could in that time instead. Friggin' Saruta Oranges were too much during the event. Money grubbings sluts!

The oranges were a set price from a npc vendor....how could they be too expensive at 29 gil?
 
Because I didn't buy from a vendor.

At 29 they aren't too expensive, obviously.
 
I did this quest when I first seen it and got my Treat staff, Pumpkin Head, Trick Staff, Horror Head, and a couple of jack o' Lanterns. I stopped when I saw the oranges' price rise. Then toward the end of the event I saw the prices drop and did it again. I got a few more jack o' lanterns then figured I may just better quit after that 1 stack but went back too AH and got another. Ended up with Pumpkin Head II and after buying a third stack I recieved Trick Staff II. After that I called it quits and was happy with what I got. The voice in my head tried his best though, "Come on, one more stack and you might get Treat Staff II or Horror Head II." LOL, I had fun.
