We were talking about this like five months ago and I've seen people occasionally discuss but no real numbers have come up. I'm keen on trying it out, mostly for HNM as one doesn't really need to worry about hate control nearly as much (or at all) in merit PTs.

It would require a completely different set up than usual and quite a bit of gear to lug around, but no one should be a stranger to that by now ya? Personally I'm missing two key pieces of gear - S kote and S sune-ate. This'll skew my numbers a bit on the gimp side if I get this set up parsed.

Pretty muc the same as Leaden Salute, except Dark Based. Novio Earring and Denali Kecks come to mind.

We at SnB like to take the piss out of Zura because he has RDM75, but no WHM sub. It's the base of many jokes, including this one.

Obviously it's less funny when I have to explain it but I'm sure Zuzu got it! He might have laughed, then again, maybe not.

My only hope with a set up like this is for it to at least be able to come close to the dmg of a standard HNM set up but at a much reduced amount of emnity. Less RNG death but more importantly less HNM running up to you and AoEing the crap out of the backline. Would love to hear some feedback if anyone's tried something similar.
 
If you can get your hands on it, I'd suggest Scout's Belt. But thats no easy task.
 
Ive geared my rng to the ws's mods specifications, all the mnd gear i can come up with including Suzy boots af+1 head KO af+1 legs ... a lot of mind gear pretty much aswell as some mattk peices like moldy earring and Ugg pend and a few other peices that arent coming to mind atm. For the test i went rng/blm to sky targeting flamingo's, had a rdm friend up there to sleep/bind the birds for consistent range tests. Best number i could do was 843, couldnt break 1K for the life of me. IMO this ws blows, its situationally good but with the amount of gear you would have to carry around for that rare situation to do your optimally low magic dmg ranged ws, its just not worth it.
 
I think you are trying to use this in the wrong situation. This is best used, in my opinion, with a machine crossbow/holy bolts and high mind build. Since the weapon damage doesnt calculate into the ws dmg you can gain tp quickly most of it hate free since the largest chunk of your damage would come from add. effects. Obviously its not for every situation, but I think this would offer a good alt. for situations when you have to watch your hate output and/or fighting undead. Think in terms of DoT not Chunk Damage.
