The image with taken by the rover they call "Sprint". Whenever they sent that one up there, never really keep track of them. I think that was the first Rover over 9 years ago i reckon.

Edit: Scratch that. Sprint is the latest Rover, pretty damn recent.

I compared both images and they are identical.

Plus the mysterious figure is still there.

You can find it here on both images
MarsScape2BARC_468x129.jpg

If you're viewing either of the 43 meg images with windows at 1280X1024 resolution.

- zoom in
- start at the bottom left hand corner
- rotate mouse wheel one step at a time until you count to 9. You can overlay the images and see the figure is still there.

Yes, they are identical. I never said they weren't. My point is, one isn't the true colors. As in, they enhance the image with colors that aren't real. Sure, that lake is interesting, but no where do I find an official message from NASA saying "zOMG! WE FOUND " FOOT ALIENS!". That can just be a rock. And the lake doesn't even have to have any water in it; it can be dried up. The pattern is a typical sand-pattern. However, water can take a similar pattern.

Not sure if you even seen the Lake, there is a breeze passing along the water creating waves. in both images.

Hah, some people are saying that it's Bigfoot...

And one more said: “It’s definitely Bigfoot. That’s why we’ve not been able to find him on Earth, he’s gone to Mars.”

Seriously?? An ape can zip from planet to planet like that?
Besides, that's implying that there's only one...
I think if there's one, there's more (if it's real, probably lives undergound?)

I'll stay skeptical about this for a while though...
I wanna see concrete evidence! Something just seems fishy about the pic as it is...

.... do I need to quote myself?

I also stated that it doesn't even have to have water in it. It can simply be sand. As I also mentioned before, a discovery of this magnitude would cause every newspaper in the world to have it on their front page.

Besides, if it truly WERE water in it, and a little alien, both of them would probably have moved between each image shot. However, they are identical.

Uzor, you forget who you are talking to. He's always right. You are always wrong.

Don't get me wrong Anttaru, I hope as much as anyone that theres' life on Mars, and that the lake contains water. But the fact that no newspaper have mentioned anything makes it seem unlikely. Aliens on Mars would with 100% certainty be the the news story of the millennium. Every news channel and newspaper would have covered the story to death already.

Ugh, I better head to bed. For some reason I wrote "Don't get me right Anttaru".

The discovery of the humanoid itself is really new...
The sites I just visited posted their articles just a few hours ago.

Unless it's older than I think :o If so, I agree it'd be in newspapers...

Or maybe they'd wait for it to be more of a sure thing? Don't wanna risk losing credibility so soon?

Those pictures were taken January 3rd. Besides, instead of just saying "The articles I've read...", why don't you post them instead? I'd love to read them. Would give me a small sense of hope.

Because aliens and news aren't worn out to hell. Really, even if they did do that it would create a mass uproar. Churches would be spaming that shit saying it's false. those scifi morons would be screaming about how they're right.

Not saying that it is a real alien but really, putting it on the news would do more harm then good.

The pic was taken then, but no one noticed the little ape-dood :P

1 sec, lemme get the links, I'll edit them in this post.

That last link has links to way more, shows they were all posted very shortly ago...
The first three links are the ones I actually read

Putting it on the news if real would create protests from the church, yes. But I doubt they would care.

We have a church going to picket a mans funeral over a movie roll and you honestly think they wouldn't care about something that would kill a lot of the religions out there?

The entire world don't care about religions. Sweden for one.

And no, it would be one hellova news story. I highly doubt they'd go "oh, wait. We can't release this. Christians would get upset."

Also, none of those articles have their facts right. All of them state that the pictures were taken back in 2004, when NASA obviously states they were taken January 2nd 2008. All of them also jump right away with wild speculations, which shows how easily fooled humans are, and proves that people see what they want to see.

What I gathered, they said Spirit landed there in 2004...
That's not what they said? I was speed reading '-';

I'll check again!

Wait, wait, wait

let me get this straight. People actually believed that, for a moment, that wasn't a rock? And there was a lake on mars?

Ho-lee-shit.

No. They said "The pictures were taken in 2004, and not until now has this human/alien been seen."

I never got the lake thing but that does look like a person.
