Extremes - Dead
I've been gone forever and have recently had an urge to play again but very casually.

I was looking at Dancer because it seems like you can solo to 75 with it fairly easily? And the expansion looks to be more friendly to casual players with Campaign and what not.

How is low level partying though now and endgame? Is it still hard as fuck to get a party in the 40, 50, 60 range no matter what job you are?

And is Dancer a good damage dealer, I read it was pretty similar to Thief.
Any and all information would be helpful, especially on Dancer specifically.

Dancers can't simply dump hate like a thief can, and cure spam can pull a good bit of hate. Also you don't benefit from SA/TA, but they can still put out fairly decent DE/SB if geared for it. Nothing to awe at though.

Getting a party is as hard as it's ever been in my opinion - if when you left you felt it was hard to get parties at those levels, it probably will still feel that way to you.

Since I messed up - again... I won't be on :(

Forgot to mention, Dancer's dagger selection is worse than thief better than...
... Why doesn't Dancer get Blau.... even Smn and Sch can use it... Scholar! and Summoner!

they get that adder jambaiya thingy. that's 25% eva down that activates often for the entire pt on a mob with decent base dmg/delay. alot of people seem to think that joyuse offhand for dnc si a good option thanks to the acc bonuses, merits, the fact that dnc are chronically sushi dependent by nature(not becuase of low skill so this is actually good), and suppa sword skill so getting a second dagger might be moot.
The main problem with said dagger is that it uses star sapphire and the items from that gem costs 20x more than they really would be worth as far as how great it is vs the next gear downgrade. paying 10-20 mil for the dagger is the equivalent(imo) paying 20~30 mil for a sniper+1 in today's current market.

I use two behemoth+1 knives with my dnc. I like the extra attack and hp. Dnc is pretty much all about being able to build tp, and hitting for 0 gives you none. So attack and accuracy is really king for dnc. If you're hitting just fine, then swap the accuracy for haste. You know, same old melee rules.
