Posting here since there is the possiblity it could get flames because it envolves MPK.

So me, alanon, jender, kiere, majorhavoc are camping mystic maker NM in labyrinth of Onzozo. We're there awhile and jender who the earring of NM is for really has to log off but the earring is for her. So she searches for a safe spot to afk so she can stay online and we'll pass if it drops if we get it and so forth. She happens to get lost, get aggro, die so kiere goes to look for jender and raise her.

At this point it's me, alanon, majorhavoc against 2 other campers. It pops, al gets claim and me soon after. We then get 2 cockatrice pops, and major gets tornado's to death so it's me and alanon fighting 3 enemies, one inlcuding a NM. Well he sleepga II'd the area, we managed to kill NM, earring drops, and we also managed to kill one of the cockatrice but our hp was far too dangerous to fight at that point, so me having the hate, flee'd to zone with one cockatrice.

As I flee'd past an xping party one of the members cured me, thus developing hate from the cockatrice claimed by me. At this point I then zoned into bub with it somewhat near me. So I zoned, al resting somewhere, it happens, here is where it gets sticky. From what I heard, understood, then saw, when I zoned the mob for some reason 'remained' purple to the other party, it was still under my claim even though I zoned. I really don't understand why it remained under our claim, and alanon was alive still but far far away, also had no idea any of the following events were taking place, nor did I.

Next thing I knew, I had a party quite upset with me, not surprised if I made a BL or 2. I'm just here to say I honest swear to God zoned! for whatever reason it remained under my control so you gyus were defenseless, it wasn't my fault and I wish I've known.

The 5 of 6 names I can remember are reetza, mojolo, sylvain, taetian, and frios. If you know these people please direct them here to see my case, I'd never MPK without a damn good reason to ( Refering to posts about lucifar's HNM shell ).

Extra and off topic: This is a flameboard so...The competion was a rdm and pld, rdm seemed nice, the pld DID seem nice until the following. I was spamming /targetnpc /voke macro and got a goblin hunter, I then proceeded to <Hide> to ditch the aggro, and the stupid pussy started whining, jealous paladins, sheeeeesh. Maybe I should tell you to not use cures? Uggggghhhhhhh. We got the claim and the earring for the one and only Jender so <Congratulations> to her!
 
Alanon must have done something to obtain a smidgen of hate so the cock (hahaha I said cock) would stay claimed, and it Probably just lost aggro heading back to its spawn point. The party had good intentions, but it still wasn't a good decision seeing as how it got them killed.
 
They had reason to be mad, as anytime trains happen on an xp party. But seeing that they tossed a cure at somebody fleeing to zone.....

Well they should know better.... Or at least be ready to be attacked from whatever is chasing you. Very noble of them to do so, but you should expect to be attacked if you are willing to help. Thats just how the game goes ya'no.

Anyway I /salute you on being man enough to publicly apologize for it here. :D
 
Were you camping this say ... Friday and Saturday night? lol If so you were probably camping against a couple friends of mine who were trying to get the earring lol We finally got the drop Saturday/Sunday at 5AM.
 
Now i know there are always 2 sides to a story but this sounds like an acedent i would not call it an MPK because when someone MPKs they do it intentaly and with full intention to get someone killed. you were running for your life and thus dont always have time to warn folks sadly a party was killed and I know that sucks

I applaude you for coming here and apologizing shows you truly did not mean to pull it on them. sometimes the game mechanics just screw us .
 
Alright, I believe it was probably my fault in the end.

We had been there camping for probably an hour and helf without any incident. We easily handled any inadvertant aggro and we were just sitting there, waiting for the pop. That is when all hell decided to break loose. Jen was falling asleep, so I suggested she go AFK by the entrance, and if the earring dropped, we would pass and D2 her. Well, she got lost, got aggro a died. Kiere then leaves to find her to raise her. Then Mysticmaker pops, and I think havoc was the one to get the claim. Not too bad so far, to be honest, I wasnt worried in the least about being down two members as I can solo the guy with relative ease. Then 2 bad things happened at once, 2 Cocks decide to come into the previously open area and aggro. I fired off a sleepaga2 and put em down. Then mysticmaker's first spell is tornado. Not bad in and of itself, I could normally blink it away or eat it, but Havoc still had hate. Stun was resisted so havoc ate the tornado, dead pally. This was a particularly nasty version of mysticmaker too. He actually got me in the yellow and down to low mp before I killed him.

Anyway, the earring drops, good shit, but this is where the chaos led to bad decisions. Jender is still dead, so she can't lot. Our only option is to all pass, so she can get it by default. Havoc is dead, so I raise him with the last of my mp so he can pass. Jag is fighting the last of the two cocks, but he is in pretty bad shape, so he flees for the zone. Right after I raised Havoc, I go truckin after Jag. I round the corner to see this cock still red and chargin at me like he has flee on. I pull out my staff but he runs by me. My first thought is that he was going after my freshly raised pally friend, so I go to sleep it, but didnt have enough MP. It just passed right by havoc though, so I blew it off and went in search of Jen, because my focus was still on trying to make sure that she gets the earring. Well havoc followed me and passed right by a scorp, aggrod and died again. Fortunately he had already passed, so I kept lookin for Jen.

Long story short, everyone got raised and Jender got a sexay piece O' jewelery. Apparently though, that cock went back and tore up another group. Thinking back on it though, it was probably because I had slept it, so I still somehow had the claim, even though I had engaged 2 mobs since sleeping it. So I apologize to that group. I know at least one of them is in BigFun, so maybe they will see this. I know Jag just felt terrible. We were there for about 20 min afterward begging forgiveness.

On a side note, our counter campers were a 60 Pld and 60 Rdm duo. I know they got pissed at Jag because he was spamming voke, voked a Gob and did a <hide>. Not near where it would aggro them mind you, but still near Mystics spawn. This made the Pld upset, saying that the gob "bothered" him. Translation: I can't spam my voke macro now. :roll: Anyway, they were upset that we got the claim and drop, but we probably did them a favor. Now a 60Pld and 60 Rdm *might* be able to duo Mystic, but assuming he casts the same set of spells on them he did us, then the Pld would have died right away, leaving the 60 Rdm to solo Mysticmaker and his two cock friends. Sorry, ain't happenin.

So, in summary, congradulations to Jen on her earring and Eleibfrid, if you read this, please apologize to your LS for me.
 
Well, it was exciting end to a rather dull camp! LOL..

I did get the claim and it was with my mighty sword! The other two campers could have easily claimed it before us but they didn't. I thought the fight was going to go well until that damn tornado that hit me 1240 hp! I was just happy that we got the claim and didn't ALL go down, leaving the other guys with an easy fight.

On the note of the running the cock to the zone... Wouldn't it be that if the mob was still "claimed" by one of us it should not bother aggro'ing anyone else? I understand the other party being upset and would like to apologize as well. Under normal circumstances, we would completely avoid endangering other players. This whole situation got a bit chaotic once the earing dropped.

Oh yeah and /blist add Mysticmaker Profblix.
 
It didn't "Aggro" the other party per se. They threw a cure (very noble act btw) on Jag as he ran past, which was apparently enough to override the hate I had from sleep. The real issue was that now he is attacking them but they cant do anything about it since the mob was still claimed by us somehow.


I would also like to add MysticMaker to my blist. That lil shit was WAY overdo and I am DYING at work this morning as a result! :?
 
I've said it once and I'll say it again, you should never ever heal someone who hasn't called for help. Specially if someone is zoning, you've just entered into a battle that they don't think they can win. Zoning the mobs on them on the otherhand is kind of sketchy. Were they given warning and time to get out? It sounds to me like the issue was one of their mages bad judgement honestly.
On a side noteL I always felt like that earring should be earned not just given to someone while they're afk. But if none of you minded I'll leave it at that, your business not mine.
 
Well, they weren't AT the zone, they were camped it the tunnel just before the gob spawn.

Jender has takin her lumps on this one and she never actually MADE it to a point to actually BE afk. :lol: She has camped with us before and she is our Sunday static blm so it was for the good of the static. If one of us gets an uber piece of equipment like this, then we all benefit. At least that's how I look at it.
 
Well obviously gonna need help for a lvl 47 piece of gear that takes a lvl 60 to solo. And yea static members are gonna benefit, but just as well as if you give em million of gil in gear for fre. But oh well, I'm sure she'll repay the favor to you guys someday.

If they weren't even at the zone then there's nothing you did wrong really. They chose to help, they got killed for it. You hadn't asked for help, which means you weren't intending to fight. Bad judgement all the way on their part. It certainly sucks they people got killed for it, but they can't really blame you.
 
jag, not like you KNEW there was a party at zone experiencing. "MPK" is done intentionally, not by accident. you did nothing wrong. congrats tho' on the earring^^

There is no need for her to pay it back...she is a dear friend to all of us. We aren't some static that formed at 5 levels ago. We've basically all been together since level 10. And though there's no need for her to pay it back she is always there to help any of us when needed... We <3 her dearly! And I'm so thrilled that we were able to help her get this.

Back on topic: This is one of those forgivable accidental lil things that just happens. Bleh. And Fire......some people sorta buy into the whole karma thing - you get what you give. I'm not gonna say more than that...

In the end this is really how I feel. I do feel bad, but what can you do but apologize and move on. I actually feel worse for Jag. The lost xp can be made up, but you'd have to KNOW jag to understand just how absolutely low he felt. He was talking about getting his lvl30 whm to come back and PL these guys. Im sure the way he was talkin that he didn't get much sleep.
 
Ok,I don't really have an argument here or feel there's a great need. I was just talking standards considering this is the board where people rant about how it's wrong that people are powerleveled and how people are walked through rank misisons. This sentiment is obviously mine alone when applied here so no point continuing.

Well... it's clear that Jag did absolutely nothing wrong, and I'm sure if the people in the party have any sense, they'll realize that. Aaaanddd since we all agree Jag was not at fault... I just want to say COngratulation! to Jender for getting her earring. :D

And I pray that I have the same luck cause I'm gonna need to start going after that sucker soon.... >_<
