Well, as some of you may know, I finally completed my big game goal of obtaining the Ebisu:

ebisu.jpg

Pretty happy about that, though I do feel a little cheated out of what was supposed to be a long and fulfilling road of experience, the final stretch you might say.

Instead went 1/13 on liks and 1/44 on gugras, so yeah, feel a little angry. But not nearly as totally pumped about getting the rod :D

So, with just GP items and 13 levels to go, I... need a new hobby D:

I'm probably going to pick up chocobo digging again, halfway done that and being able to dig up ele ores would be sexy. Also contemplating completely refurnishing my MH for the third time (I'm thinking of making it look like you just walked into a store hehe)

I don't know, can anyone think of a new hobby to skilling fishing? I've just done so much of the solo stuff in game I feel like there's not much...

Urat's total achievements:

Chocobo Racing: Wrapped

Circuit: All races beaten and winnings owner status achieved

Hot and cold: 8/8

Digging: Rank 5/10

Fishing: Level 87, Ebisu, 110K/360K GP

Wood Working: 75

Congrats. Getting an Ebisu rod is quite an achivement.!

Ebisu's a pretty big accomplishment. Most people just get a Lu Shang and settle for that.
Congrats, and rock the hell outta them fish.

Wait, did you just complain about not having to go through hell to get the rod? <_<

Kinda yeah, I do honestly feel a little cheated out of a big thing, and now ebisu doesn't feel like much of an accomplishment.

I should be like "HELL YEAH I DID IT" and instead I just feel meh cause I got off easy.

Makes it feel cheap, you know?

It's what happens when you finally get something you long desire, a common feeling.

Go get that DNC mythic or something.

Congratz on your Ebisu, and thanks for buying all my gugrusaurus on the AH...

chocobo digging is dead and elemental ores dont profit anymore, fishing is much more profit btw.

You could level a more useful job and try endgame... That wastes a lot of time. Congrats on the pole tho... lol

Congrats on a great Ebisu accomplishment sometimes the road to getting what we want is more exciting than finally being rewarded at the end, just set your sights on something new and distant now. :)

That's what I was thinking, with my license to sell money I'm thinking of going for it. First I'm probably going to money sink into fully gearing my job.

Oh, wow grats on ebisu!! :shok:

Something else you could do is finish every mission/quest in the game, if you havn't already lol. (Not including AF and Weaponskills you can't get)

Grats on the rod. That's something that not many people get, and you can be proud of it.

In terms of a hobby... why not just level a few more jobs? It's the most commonly done thing in the game for a reason :P

Well I definitely have to say one of the best parts about ebisu is selling lu shangs after.

Check out what I blew my 3 mill on

That's right, one of the only on server and moments after collecting lu shangs, what do i see in a strangers bazaar?

My shiny new buckler of pure awesome:

Mmmm, matches my azoth so nice don't you think?

Here's stats, its the only shield in game dancer can equip, makes for a wonderful off hand when subbing samurai.

Now Ebisu is starting to feel good, maybe it was just initial shock... hehe

I think you should sub ninja...and w.turban. 25% delay reduction will give you more tp than that shield.

Why blank out the seller's name [lol]? We all know who that is [for any Upper Jueno regulars], he has a few other rare bits iin his bazaar.

lol gratz on the rod and shield... hope you washed your tights!

Not that Legion Scutum is better at all, but it is a shield a dnc can equip and make use out of. I've never seen a dnc fight an hnm or something big still but wouldn't whm sub be better if you can't hit something at all?
Nice shield though, grats on it also.

It's my shield for when I'm healing, example dynamis. /nin gives me a -30% delay so +15% tp per hit, sam will give me close to the same in tp store, but with only one weapon.

Toss in meditate and /sam passes nin tp wise, thus I'm going to have an empty slot I may as well fill.

/nin I'll of course still duel wield, but when /war for tanking and /sam for DD, empty slot is not longer empty...

Time to go ungimp my subs

just no. wong maths etc..

/30+ sam = 15 store tp

/nin = 30% delay- on two weapons for total of -15% to each

Both give you +15% TPM, thus making them equal.

Toss in Samurais meditate at 60 tp every 2 mins for +30tpm, thus sam has a slight lead over nin tp wise, making it better. Not only that but with meditate for events like dynamis that have downtime I can build precious tp when we're not fighting.

Thus, for events where my main focus is simply building tp as fast as physically possible, /sam is > /nin. Following that, /sam I'll have an empty slot so I may as well fill it, shields don't slow me down, and this one speeds me up notably.
