um. whoa. ODIN? (spoiler warning!!!)

What are you talking about and how does it belong in this thread?

anyone who watched the trailer, Odin is at the end of the trailer. Just standing there breathing.
hes part of the story and by chance just like bahamut. unsummonable.

First of all the remark about making Odin a summon would be cool and I would definately level smn just for that summon.

But the 2hr to KO every mob was just the dummest thing I have heard...

And On FF8 he always ran with his horse with 6 legs, maybe they dont want it to be akward in this FF version.
Just a guess but I most likely is Odin.

Yeah from what it looks in the trailer, I think he's an NPC just as Bahamut was.

Diabolos was also an "NPC" until they made it summonable. I think Odin is a little far fetched to expect as an avatar. If they did add him, the two hour ability wouldn't be OMFGAWDZAOEKILLLAWL, more likely an AoE physical attack that ignores defense, or high crit rate or something. Maybe it would be able to chain light or dark. Who knows, but definitely not aoe instant death..lol

Plz make the avatars ingame better and smn not the assmage of the MP job set before making him summonable though, please.

Yeah, because he's never had that ability before.

Wanna hear something dumb? Go here.

Odin has a Lance, Grungir, not a sword.

looks like a lance to me ;P

and I stand by my "This should NOT be a summonable Avatar" stance >.>

In all fairness, the first pick does look like he's holding a sword, and that was the only one that was posted when the thread started. The other was ninja edited in.

still looks like a lance/spear to me XD

That's.. definately a lance. What's your point? Odin uses both, always has. Sword to do the obscene damage, Lance for all other situations (anytime he can't 1-hit the opponent).

Attributes of Odin are Sleipnir, an eight-legged horse, which was given to Odin by Loki, and the severed head of Mimir, which foretold the future. He employed Valkyries to gather the souls of warriors fallen in battle (the Einheriar), as these would be needed to fight for him in the battle of Ragnarok. They took the souls of the warriors to Valhalla (the hall of the fallen), Odin's residence in Asgard.

Odin had three residences in Asgard. First, was Gladsheim, a vast hall where he presided over the twelve Diar or Judges, whom he had appointed to regulate the affairs of Asgard. Second, Valaskialf, built of solid silver, in which there was an elevated place, Hlidskialf, from his throne on which he could perceive all that passed throughout the whole earth. Third, was Valhalla, where Odin received the souls of the warriors killed in battle, called the Einheriar. Valhalla has five hundred and forty gates, and a vast hall of gold, hung around with golden shields, and spears and coats of mail. Also, no women or poor people were admitted to Valhalla and the only females were the Valkyries who were the female messengers and followers of Odin.

Odin has a number of magical artifacts associated with him: the dwarven spear Gungnir, which never misses its target, a magical gold ring (Draupnir), from which every ninth night eight new rings appear, an eight-legged horse (Sleipnir) and two ravens Huggin and Muninn|Mummin (Observation and Memory), who fly around the world daily, to which they report the happenings of the worlds to Odin at Valhalla nightly. He also commands a pair of wolves named Geri and Freki, to whom he gives his food in Valhalla since he consumes nothing but mead, or wine. From his throne, Hlidskjalf (located in Valaskjalf), Odin could see everything that occurred in the universe.

The Valknut is a symbol associated with Odin.

model viewer says that because thats what the guy who made the windower called it. The .dat doesnt have a name in it, otherwise the BLU/COR/PUP AF would say somthing other than "Corsair AF" and w/e

Odin has a Lance, Grungir, not a sword.

I said blade, and YES I know that he has Gungnir*... I know plenty of the history of Odin, I said blade, once again, I didnt say sword^^;

I would love to see odin and alaxander be summons. I would lvl summon if they did. The summon are already weaken it says so countless times during the game. So it is very possible. Though I dought they do the 1 hit ko thing. Though if I remeber right in ffvii he didnt have that kill move he just did massive aoe dmg. been years since I played ffvii so I could be mistaken

he looks neat though...

...I think that he is the rival in Chocobo racing, you race a buncha chocobos, and Odin on Slepnir

I didn't think horses existed in vana'deil. That's why we use chocobos. I don't remember ever seeing a horse anywhere else in the game before.

somehow the king of death riding around on a little yellow bird seems....odd
