So I recently hit 40 with my ninja and am just a few seals away from 40. I want to try this with a nin and rdm friend. My question is what sort of preparation should I go through to be successful. My ninjitsu isn't quite capped so I'm guessing that is the first thing since I will have to use the wheel. For gear, do I need to go with a INT build?

It doesn't take much to be honest. I wouldn't worry about an abundance of INT gear. If you can get it, go for it, if not don't break the wallet. NI wheel at 40 is pretty strong already especially with a sub with MAB (and Fast Cast).

Cap Nin. Magic Skill
Sub RDM ideally or at least BLM

After that, give it a shot. It's easier than you think.
 
when i used to do this i used to go /whm and with an empress hairpin on... that's it

Capped ninjitsu is important but prolly wont break you. Its retardedly easy just keep your back to em and shadows up.
 
just make sure both nins are spaced out and dont face the mobs, keep shadows up and spam, spam, spam

most of the emphasis is on the rdm kiting the large hecteyes

could use cheap food for int if you want but ni ichi will deal good damage
 
If your a bit skilled you can even go /dnc and time yourself well to turn around and take a few swings at it so you have some reserve tp to cure yourself in case of emergency. If its your first time i wouldnt mess around though
 
nin/rdm incase you need to heal a little. never know when mage is low on mp. it helps to have capped ninjutsu. have full ni wheel, ichi doesnt cut it. the biggest thing that can lead to a loss is a bad kiter. also if you got paralyzed by accidently not being at the right angle, it might slow things down. i wore a mixture of eva gear with int gear. actually i tried it with a rdm friend as a duo with full eva gear, (merited eva) i was able to kill both lesser mobs untill kiter died lol.

Wait till you hit like lv 43 so your capped out when you enter @ lv 40 , dont need to but would help you out some.
