hey. just a quick question. found this new bc.. kinda weird. u get a key item from justinius @ tavnazia safehold. go to monarch linn where u fight mammets.. number of mammets depends on how many ppl u have. anyway. has anyone done this. and if so could u give me some suggestions on beating it. me and my friend jussy came very close but lost. we were blm and pld/nin. anyway. if uve done it, id glady accept some advice on it cuz i wanna beat it lol pissed me off we lost xD

If you lose it's kindof bad luck...you basically do this as you would normal Mammets, that being you want to get them stuck on Polearm mode so they hit SLOW. They're strong vs enfeebs, but not immune (I usually land 1/3 casts on WHM, even when I forgot to bring elemental staves). If they're in Staff mode I'd say pray ES Silence sticks, otherwise you'll want to Stun and/or run from their -ga III spam til they swap out, since that's by far the toughest thing about 'em.

Also, hate to say, I semi disrecommend bringing a BLM since there's the high risk that the Mammet will switch to it's mode where it absorbs all elemental damage, which can make the fight -way- harder than it hasto be. BLM can work fine for the fight, they just hafto be really alert of their mode changes so they don't go healing em 900hp or something.

As RDM, Para, Slow, and Silence all stick really easily.
I've duoed this with Lucy (NIN) a few times now. Very easy fight and we tack it on the end of the Rivernewort XP scroll quest.

Out of 6 possible rewards... 4 xp scrolls, 1 bream risotto, and 1 tav. salad

i did it a few times with rdm/drk+thf/nin. bind works, gravity too. they are easy as long as they are not in war mode. Talk back to the npc for a reward. Also a "glitch" i found on the web: you can get an exp scroll as a reward, but not always. I do this bc only for the scroll. There is a trick to get it 100%, ive tested it. If you talk to NPC with inventory full, he will try to give your reward then cancel. talk to him again until reward is a Miratete's Memoire. After that he will always give you the xp scroll, so empty your inventory and get it!

I thought they fixed that, I heard people would do the same thing to get an easy cloud evoker so they fixed that glitch. I'm not completely postive on that though.

im not 100% sure, but i talked to NPC 20 times in a row and he only proposed me the scroll.

Hey are you able to glitch it the same way as the first Mammet fight, ie. have one guy go in, aggro all of them and bring them back to someone who is "still in the CS" and why they all go after that CS person, you take them off one by one for an easy win?

There is no CS entering. And the glitch for always getting an exp scroll is to fix it so people wouldn't get the good stuff instead. A few high value items can drop off it, and if you had a memoirs (rare/ex) in your inventory you would fail to get another if that was the reward, and have another shot until you got an item. Once the reward becomes an exp scroll, you're getting that no matter how many times you click him.

that glitch is cool, idc about higher reward, i do this only for exp scroll reward, this way i can get up to 5 scrolls per week, and hence 5-8k exp for my subjobs.
