Ok posting this here, Could be the wrong spot for it. If it is I apologize in advance.

OK so I found my new love Neenja ^^ Now here i am, figuring that alot of the gear can be NM'd or BCNM'd so I figure Ill give it a shot. Ive been trying to camp the Jujitsu Gi NM Poisonhand bla bla for about 2 weeks. Everytime I go out there is this person, Ajbi, standing out there. Now I am on at random times during the day and night depending on work and family things. And this person is there apparantly 24-7 for the past 2 weeks. Some people have also told me this character has been there for months. Ive outclaimed it once (no drop..... SCREW YOU ORC) so Im curious, anyone know this person? I dont want to falsley accuse someone of something, it just seems very odd to me.

Probably a "professional" but by that I mean constant not that they get paid for camping. There are alot of them and they aren't all gil-sellers in fact quite a few are owned by people who hate gil-sellers...but I guess using a bot to camp is acceptable if you aren't a gil-seller...at least that seems to be the attitude some people have these days. If the drop rates wern't so bad we probably wouldn't see so many of these people sitting there all the time.

I was down in Uggalepih for over 3 months...but never 24/7 I would know what obsessive camping is like. So don't get me started there.

How can you say that a person camping -the samething- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - is not a seller?

Do you remember Camiltkaboss, Lamatilecat, Kriseman....and even before them: Nuki, Sonicteam, Bettylily, etc...

They were there 24/7 and obviously sellers. You know why? Because on CHINESE NEW YEAR they were not there.

That was the only day they were not there.

Scwall and I camped Stroper Chyme all day and received 8 Archers Rings in one day. Only because they weren't there.

Now if 8 rings in one day is not enough for these fucks, they are obviously selling gil. I could imagine if they were trying to craft Sniper's Rings+1 and needed all the Archers they could find, but that was not the case. Ask Svina because he bought most of those rings from those Chinese farmers.

I can say for sure they arent a bot, you talk to them they'll talk back. I do believe however that they are controlled by multiple people. They used to be at O kote and Fuma Kyahan all the time back when I was camping them, then they went on to mining, and now back to NM's. I had GM's check for 3rd party programming and the GM's determined that they are not bot, so they cant do anything about it. They used to go everywhere with pal goodbey, but I havent seen those two together lately.

I wasn't on during the Chinese New Year lol....had a bad headache from staying up all night for 2 nights running trying to make gil. But you are correct in that I can not say they aren't gil-sellers....but you can not say they are by the same token. It's all unimportant though seeing as it doesn't affect us so long as they don't use a bot and according to SE, and we know they are always right heh, this new update will prevent third party software (ie bots). I also remember the Chyme campers quite well....I also remember you and Scwall hunting them...but did you notice that those names you mentioned are all in ForgottenShadows now and that they are the people who bot all the HNMs every pop now? You should get your facts straight before you go attacking me for saying something you don't want to hear.

It doesn't even mean that there is someone playing the character. If you are trying for a 24 hour spawn, you may leave a character logged in there so you know the last time it died, just so you know when to camp it next...

this is a post that has experience, all you other people taht I don't recognize don't even know what you are talking about, but want to voice you opinion, once you've "been there, done that" then come back and talk about the gilsellers, obviously some people have a lot of exp w/ them. including this guy here.

and "talking" with them and making friends with them doesn't mean you have exp with them. just means that you think they care about you and figure you need to jump at every post concerning any gilseller.

sigh......I know I know. I've camped many NM myself, I've left my character online for longer than 24 hours...I know I know.

But please, I ask you this personally.

Could you camp 4 different monsters that pops every 16min with 6 of your friends? For nearly 24 hours per day? 7 days a week? That is how the Stroper Chyme camp works...

I do admit, they would logout sporadically. Longest breaks never broke over 3 hours. Could you live on than much sleep?

Does anyone remember what the Archer's ring history on the auction house looked like, approx 10 months ago? Disgusting...

Hello everyone I havent been on for a few months but yes I am pretty sure Ajbi is a gillseller. and I know for a FACT controlled bye mutiple people.
I used to farm tree cuttings in ZiTah and this person was always there. Tried to MPK me once and almost suceeded. after teh MPK attemp i got a /tell saying "Li ja" whatever that means. I even had a fellow farmer as a witness and called GM. got the "we'll look into it" speech. And the very next day of farming the same character bowed to me after I beat him to a goobue and we even had a conversation in /tell and this person was very different and very polite"
For a while after that i would always give a /tell to him/her to see if it was teh friendly polite guy i talked to or not, and if it was the nice guy we would always chat and had a routine of staying out of each other's way he worked inside track while I worked ouside. if it was the other guys controlling the character they would just ingore me. Ajbh also confirmed at the time that there were usally 3-4 of them controlling the account and that he was teh only one that new some english.

h34r: well you guys are talkin about a couple different things and they are not all the same buy any means. There are people who sell gil and people who buy gil and ppl that do neither. There are people who use hacks there are people who use windowers, people who bot, and people who do some or none of those. To my knowledge there is no definite concrete correlation between any of them. Most people dislike gil sellers and I am one of them but the others start into gray areas. Most people also dislike hack users and I would agree as well. Bots and buying gil tends to be more controvertial if you have any experience with other MMO's because they have been the standard in past games especially the botting, need I mention UO which required it for lvling skills? On the same token how much do you blame the person who plays after work and only has an hour or two a day to play from buying gil when everyone expects them to not only have that current lvl top gear but also the uber food to go along with it? Probably the lightest shade of gray is windowers. There are many more people on pc's using windowers then not largely because SE is analy retentive about allowing you to check your email or have important unrelated software running in the background. Among other things many people I know who play MMO's still use dial up and rely on IM's to know when someone needs to get ahold of them for RL things. I personally think the gil sellers have massively f'd up the game economy and dislike the practice but there are tons of people who "cheat" that are not selling gil, many of them to avoid buying gil themselves. Most gilharvesting for selling is done not freelance but by the companies that sell the gil themselves. If you do not agree just google gil sale and check any of the sites that pop up. They will advertise buying gil and quotes but if you actually click to get a quote as if you were gonna sell them gill it always says "we are not purchasing gil on that server at this time" regardless of the server. The only semi reliable way I have seen to identify sellers is to, as a previous post mentioned, interact and talk with them. Doing so you can pretty quickly identify the characters being operated by different people in shifts and it is a pretty good assumption that they are working stations at a selling company.

My two cents... no opinion posted....

Abji has been at Poisonhand everytime I've camped him.... whether late at night CST or late afternoon CST (or anytime in between). Chances are it's a multiple player gil seller character. As far as my experience... I witnessed no bot action.

When a two hour pop (btw easy kill) drops a 3 or so million item there is going to be lots of people around.
