"unofficial" talk of the legit ffxi windower mode.

That's all fine and dandy, but if it doesn't have TP/MP for pt and alliance, distance, more macro space, and expwatch then quite frankly, it blows. Nice try SE, too bad you're two years too late.

Too bad you're even worse than the town bike! >=(

It's a step in the right direction, at least.

not attacking so dont take this wrong . people screamed for windowed version so they could look up walk throughs chat surf ect and they might let players have it . but it doesn't have tp/mp /macros lines ect? that why i think they disallowed it in 1st place the plug ins extra macro lines are cheats whether people want to admit it or not yes they make life easier but its not the way the game was designed just my opinion for what is worth give an inch some people want the world

See now though, once their own windower is installed, they can ban ppl for using 3rd pt windower. Of course they aren't going to allow you to have tp/mp party and extra macro lines. PS2 and 360 users can't have them, why should PC users?

I can't have my low level bots, crybitchmoanwhine.
This development is at least seperating the actual cheaters from the ones who really just wanted a windowed mode.

The macros in this game were designed 5 years ago when there wasn't as much gear to gear swap.... We need extra macro lines. If I used ingame macros, I'd need 7 macros to execute some of my ws and go back to tp, real fucking efficient.

as for the rest of the crap in the windower, it doesn't really matter

target HP% should be a basic of the game. Even if you need to type <thpp> or somthing. Same with distance. Since my ranged attack is Based off it, i should be able to figure it out within the game mechanics, even if its in the crazy Vanadiel mesurements or whatever.

TParty, well its neat, and its stupid that you cant see alliance MP even though the information is sent to the client, but i can live without.

And yeah, macros aren't big enough for today's playstyle. But i can make those macros using my G15 keyboard, so i dont care.

Other than the potentially recursive macros, none of Windower's features relate to botting in any way.

I agree with this they should add it for pc and console, it is stupid that you cant see you alliance mp, or mob life %.

i never used windower macros partly because I dont need to at this lv and I have plenty of macro space I can just push two buttons instead of one longer one there is some time between ws to make a sc its not much but it's some.

I'd like to say the same with mbing but I personally think it's shorter even so I like to watch my pt's tp so I can hit the two buttons before hand.

and the second reason is well lol I dont know how to ^_^; (dont tell me either)

its less mage more melee for windower macros. You need to change out about 12 pieces of gear for each WS, and then put that gear back on after.

I don't disagree totally, but I have have to use 2 seperate macros for /heal, and 2 seperate macros for re-equipping my nuking gear. Just saying. :p

I'll use FFXI's windower if and when it comes out. However, it's probably going to be the Direct X window style and basically, it gives control back to the desktop. Unlike the current windower which literally puts it in a window.

If the SE windower comes with 20-line macros, I'll use it. Until then, I like my one-button WS's... and chakra... and utsusemi haste swap... and... >_>

Whats all this about Target HP %? lol, why do you even NEED it? Theres an HP bar right there, cant you just look at the bars position and kind of tell if its at 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8? lol, wtf...

On another note about macros, wouldnt it be more useful just to be able to stack equipment swap macros in the same line? Like this:

/equip head "head", body "body", legs "legs" and so on. I believe it would, even if you could only fit maybe 3 diff equips in 1 line

The only plugin i use with windower is TParty. I love it on my sam since most people don't do TP macros. I personally just think its nice to have. I don't use any distance or macro shit but I don't need it either. Well and the fact that the screenshots you take get put in a folder for you is nice too.

On a side not, i think you should be able to put a macro command to do another macro. So say you need 2 macros for gear to do a ws, you could put the gear swaps in slot 2 and 3, and then put like

/execute macro 2
/execute macro 3
/ws "w/e" <t>.

in slot one so then you'd have it all there, but in one button push instead of 3.

Thats how you could create a bot, and cycle macro's. You could end up being a pt leech, without anyone knowing, unless theyre paying attention.

Macro 1
/assist "Main tank"
/wait 1
/attack <t>
/execute macro 2

Macro 2
/assist "Main tank"
/wait 1
/attack <t>
/execute macro 1

Could also throw some follows in there, np at all.

I'm quoting this cause i agree 110% with everything that's written above.

I can't for the life of me figure out why SE still has us having 6 lines of macro, when they've given us 18 billion pieces of equip for our 16 slots.

Some people like the practical factor, especially if they want to thief-last blow kill. I love it and will miss it.
