upcoming QCDN contest ideas?

what about a contest where sculli selects someone to go and hide somewhere. Then sculli posts the name of the person that is hiding on here. Once this happens first person to /poke the person gets a prize of some sort. Sure u can search their name to find out which zone they are in but u still have to find the person within that zone. This could be fun
 
just as pere is a lock for the banning contest vang would prolly be a lock for this one.

No, really. I like the screenshot idea, but the number of entries would have to be limited, and there would have to be some kind of theme per contest set.

The video idea is good too, cept I have to wait until I go to my friends house to view them (56k 4tw). But for the board as a whole I can see this being a very good idea.

Another possible idea is..Best FFXI Parody? I've seen/heard a few. We'd just have to get those who've made them to put them forth.

Uhh. I cant really think of anything else right now. Lol.

It does violate the ToS, but obviously Square has done nothing to stop it. It doesn't hurt the game, nor change anything. They know we use Fraps and whatnot to record our BCNMs, or anything else of the sort. They could easily break it, I suppose. However, not harm no foul! ^^
 
By default, screenshots taken with the game's own function has a copy right over it. Accessibility is the key. You'd want a contest that everyone can do without much difficulty. This is why competitions in magazines and such are relatively simple. Making a sig might involve people to be good at (or know how to use) an image editing program (I do not count Microsoft Paint as one, since it's is too simple and I don't believe using that will achieve any of the "good looking" sigs), whereas for videos only PC users will be able to do it (unless people can capture it from their PS2, I don't know how). Each type of competition would mainly only be directed to the people that know how, whereas some other competitions anyone can enter, as my suggested competition, screenshots.
 
I luv to watch taru-taru's run, I wish I had a room fulla them, I'd make em do relay races...that being said, I like the low lvl race idea, but make it a relay, where at some point or zone you trade an item to your partner, something signed so no cheating...or jokes, jokes are always good, lil QCDN laugh off, survivor style if you want...That's uh, well, that's what i got for now...<peace>
