Update Details 12/18/06

Not from datamining, but from the update info itself:
The text command [/blockaid] will no longer turn off in the event a player has fallen in battle. Also, players will now be able to adjust the [/blockaid] settings while they are KO’d.
No more bitches tractoring the dead while someone is trying to raise.

edit - omg ninja edit:
Due to the extreme popularity of the kraken club and trouble arising as a result of a large number of players attempting to acquire the item, the monster that previously dropped the club (Lord of Onzozo) will do so no longer. A new method of obtaining the item is currently under consideration and will be implemented shortly. There are no plans on changing the drop rate of the item in question. However, the development team would like to grant players more opportunities to obtain it.
They took K-Club out, but haven't yet added a new way to get it, that's just awesome.

Personally I would've, I dunno, cast Sleep on the mob that was killing the guy, or cured him, rather than cheerfully meleeing away and every now and then giving low double digit MP from Moonlight. And that's assuming he was out of MP for completely unrelated reasons and wasn't at all picking up on your slack. :P

thats the point, he was out of mp after casting the remaining mp on Sleepga, while he got full HP, some of the mob where resisted and getting on to him, so i moonlight him, and cure him after, then he sleepga/ sleepII the remaining mob :P no biggy

if things do get out if hand i stop meleeing and go back to boring old cure, rest, and cure again :P

Because WHM sleep is oh so reliable... If you had AF body, then yes, it's decent (by decent, I mean sleep might actually stick) and with AF2 hands, it's very reliable, but that requires you actually be lucky enough to get one of the lowest drops in the game. I am sure you've done the city zones and it's cake with a good crew. In most of the city zones, WHM can get away with melee because of the lack of curing needed (cept for certain mobs and gobs) without hindering the alliance. Hasting is pointless when half the alliance doesn't even get time to engage before the selected target dies. When there's nothing to cure cept stray hate on a random melee, there is very little else to do. The only real time a WHM has to be very alert is in the main tank party, certain mobs (NIN, MNK, NMs) and on bad/dangerous pulls which make up a small part of dynamis. In the last Bastok run, I can honestly say I did so little in the first hour, I could have afk'ed and no one would have known. Not that I would, but I could.

If the zone is so easy that the WHM population is overkill for the amount of healing needed, I'd suggest having some of the WHMs go as melee jobs instead. Which does, yes, leave the career WHMs (without alternative jobs), stuck actually curing and hasting and not-meleeing, but if they object to that then it raises the question of why on earth they're a career WHM in the first place.

Alot of WHM have DD job on them, Example Allexxa, Lv.75 WAR :P, Me 75PLD >.> <.<. and lv.45 war :3
and some other WHM friend i know have nin, drk, etc
but is all depends what dynamis pt need, we may need whm just incase, if they have too many whm, some may tell their whms to switch to DD, etc if they have any
I get called to switch to PLD or RDM sometime

Possibility #1: You're making this up to get a reaction from my hyper-sensitive "dammit, take pride in your job and play it *well*" attitude.

Possibility #2: You're actually telling the truth, and I don't even have the words to respond to that, other than that I am *so* glad I'm not in your LS.

Riiiiight. Well, game's back up and this conversation is making my elitist arrogant brain hurt, so I'm out. Cheers.

Or casting Invisible on the tank at Kirin whilst the SMN is trying to hit him with aerial armour.

People are getting too excited about the kraken thing...remember how great the LL and emperors "fix" was? The R/EX part may have been good, but I get the feeling SE wont add a R/EX K club...

I wonder if abj's will ever get the same fate.

Kraken is overrated. It gets boring after the first few Souleater Bloodweapons.

What will Lord of Onzozo drop now that the club has been removed?

If you think they won't make a Rare/Ex version, what will be replaced?

Considering that RMT basically owned the Lord of Onzozo, I'm very excited about a new way of getting the club, regardless of what it is. I wouldn't mind blowing a few hundred beastmen seals trying to beat a BC that drops it, so long as I actually had a chance.
