i'm sitting in POL now... wont let update files thou =/
I've gotten drops and exp in this manner, no crystals though iirc. I once had DoT on a worm while solo'ing, he turned yellow with a sliver of heath, then went underground (damn rasp kept me from finishing him) and he died underground, I got exp and some ore. Also while engaged with one mob that's near dead, I'll sometimes go through the menu and fire a ws at a nearby mob, killing it. I've gotten drops this way several times, and the ws killed mob never gets claimed. Also -ga and AoE ws's only claim one mob, and kill several without claiming them.Rones said:I was thinking the same, but it happens already. Cast poison2 on a low lvl enemy and then lose claim. It will die after a bit and no one gets drops.
I don't see how you are reading that from it. The way it sounds you might not even get fatigue if you cancel out items.Halifirien said:I'd say they're also adding in fatigue to slow down people who cancel catches they don't want in favor of bigger prey, like letting nebs and bream go so they only get grimmonites in the Sea Serpent Grotto, or stopping bluetail and calamary so you only catch squid.
They talked about making 2H weapons more desirable to warriors, I hope this is a boost to TP from 2H weapons, not a nerf to the TP floor. War doesn't even play around with the TP floor (unless they equip gimpy daggers) Or it could be a blm nerf in disguise, imagine a mob getting 50 TP from a -ga III.Necrosis said:What could that TP adjustment mean...
If they messed with the TP floor, I'm going to be furious.
Warrior still has a D in H2H, something I never understood.Lanien said:Who knows, warrior might get some sort of Job trait that speeds up their 2H attack speeds. Everything is left up to speculation right now and we won't know until they announce the changes for Warrior.
Yeah, what you're talking about is what's going on with the change. I'm just saying that's what could happen to stop the original owner of the mob from being attacked by regaining the top position on the hate list without regaining claim; such as a white mage spamming cures on their alliance after the mob is stolen or a paladin popping invincible. I understand what they're doing and I'm completely for it, no more miraculous stealing of hnm's.Rones said:I disagree. Its not a change to the hate list at all. It would only be a change to the act of claiming, turning the mob red. You can not turn the mob red by attacking for example, unless you (or likely someone in your alliance) is on the top of the hate list. This is an easy check for SE to make compared to what you are describing.

Tagrineth said:But then what would happen if the party that now lost claim, according to the new system, did something that got hate back (ie curebombs or invincible)?
Tyrath said:They wont get claim back because the mob wont attack them. Wouldnt that be how it would work now? ;x
Tagrineth said:YES but what happens to HATE?
The update says 'a monster will not attack a character that is unable to attack it'...
Guess someone will have to test it in a few hours... =s
Nothing, the mob won't do shit to you unless you have claim on the mob. So you could spam cures all you want, pop invincible, none of it would matter unless you had claim on the mob. All they've done is require you to have more hate than the people currently fighting before you can get the claim, but if you don't have the claim your hate is irrelevant. That's fairly clear from what they've said.Tagrineth said:But then what would happen if the party that now lost claim, according to the new system, did something that got hate back (ie curebombs or invincible)?
I would hate to see Bergressor + Asuran Fists + Double Attack merits.Stouter said:Warrior still has a D in H2H, something I never understood.
Again, this is the same thingTagrineth said and is an easy mistake. Your hate will still be on the list even if claim swaps. This only involves claiming. Hate lists will work the same as they always had. Otherwise I this would be exploited constantly and everywhere. Any fight/hnm/bcnm could be handled easily by just leaving your healer outside the alliance that has claim. They could cure bomb the tank and never worry about taking hate. Think of cure heavy bcnm battles. If the healer disbanded from party after entering, they could cure everyone without hate. Additionally, if the party with hate died, under your way, the mob would never go after the person who had been healing. Or imagine a blm has done 5k points of dmg, then claim swaps. Suddenly he has 0 hate? Not likely. Or even better, have the blm deal 10,000 points of dmg and drop party. He no longer has claim, so his hate should go to 0 according to Tag's logic.Bajaratt said:Nothing, the mob won't do shit to you unless you have claim on the mob. As it should stay.Mai Ikari said:Asuran Fists is MNK-only
¿Que?Mai Ikari said:Besides, Raging Fists is stronger than Asuran with that, because Asuran can't double attack.
