Can someone show me the info on this /blockaid command is cause i've never heard of it and I didnt notice it in the updates message.
It's been out for about 8 months, that's why it's not in the current notes. It basically just prevents anyone outside your alliance from casting any spells on you or inviting you, mainly to stop the Cure 4 + invincible steal/spike flail tactic.

Blockaid is for that situation. I didn't think fafnir went unclaimed usually while fighting. I figured it was the kited hnms that regularly went unclaimed like KB. In the case of fafnir, a pld would have to slip in a flash and invincible during a brief moment of it being unclaimed, but even then wouldn't get claim unless he topped the main tanks hate. If that tank has been holding hate for a while, I don't think that would do it, but never know.
For kited mobs stealing is much more likely and I definitely see the advantages of that, but I have seen people meleeing a mob and then another group stole the claim with no reason involved. Regardless of how the mob is being fought, anything to prevent people from stealing/mpking is a good thing.

I know i'm off subjects and all but is there any posts on how exactly to unlock the new jobs or do any of the usual sights know yet?

we wont know exactly how its done until a few people have done the quests. the quests are still two days away.

Short answer: No, we don't have the .dats for the job quests yet.

Long answer: <: 3 page rant at people who don't know these things through osmosis and blowing off steam at the maintainance extension :>

Just got on to the game and ran outside to rolenberry, i might be delusional from lack of sleep but it seems that polearm hits are getting 1 more tp than they used to i.e. 13-14 rather that 12-13 a hit.

Poor Blue Mages... you can't wear the Blue Cape! That's a travesty, really. You'd think if any job could wear it...

Everyone forgets the Trecadem (sp) Scythe, with its every 13th hit a critical. Works out to about +6% crit rate if you've already got 10%, which you should with merits. >.>

Obviously whatever SE has planned to encourage Scythe usage, aint' coming with this update. Unless it's part of the TP update.

I've used Tradecim. I found the 13th hit missed a bit too much for my liking...Death/Orichalcum > Tredecim
