Update Details!

everyone level bst for that bcnm go go go.
Ironically, it'd actually be a pretty profitable thing to do. :) You'd probably get more beastman seals leveling bst to 40 solo than you would in exp parties to 75. :P

And I've heard of people leveling bst to 20 just for that astral ring bc20. So why not 40? The drops are better anyway.

I think guys missed the fact that there is Divine Magic used on many NMs every single time: Flash.

I think you missed the fact where they said that only spells that do damage will force resistance up.

Good point. No one mentioned that Mnk Chi Blast gets screwed as well.

I hate SE

As a monk I have full mind Gear, I am supposed to Chi blast in sky!!

Now what we all know monk melee dmg on god sucks, so I just take popcorn and watch other people have fun?

If they want to do this in the same they should weakened them to melee a little.

Why include Chi Blast in that? I never heard people complain about Chi Blast, or Chi blast RMT party!

Did you even read the rest of this thread? Chi Blast is going to hardly feel an effect.

I read it, but depends if you are in a ls with 4-5 monks this will affect us for sure

I think this is going to come down to what SE thinks of as "Repeatedly"
Is landing 2 spells within 30 seconds repeatedly? a minute? 10 minutes?

Then stagger the chi blasts. Like its that hard? 4-5 over 3 minutes won't be an issue if they're spaced out. I doubt two going at the same time will be a problem, since they stated that parties with a few mages won't be affected, they obviously took in to account multimage magic bursting.

And since Chi Blasts damage range is so retarded to begin with, I doubt you'd even notice when you actually are under a resistance.

hmm.. this is only to damage right? So all my sassy enfeebling skills are find and dandy? My job is safe? ok then! (I don't do damage anyways, support ftw)

I called it!! When they nerf'd /nin, I called they would do this!! :O WHere is that post!!

It seems that everytime SE "balances" gameplay, they end up going overboard and skewing it in a different direction. I'm hoping they've hit the money this time, but will not hold my breath either <. <

Beware... the nerf stick could come after anyone next @_ @

So CHi blast is non-elemental, but it will have its own gradual damage reduction...that seems odd since theres no skill associated with it? Sorry I don't know monk too well. I bet this reduction is alot faster than people expect.

Like it really matters anyway. Yeah, maybe there will be a higher resistance, but blm damage isn't going to suddenly drop to zero. I think everyone's exaggerating how hard this will actually hit us blm. And if this nerf infact rapes us blm, all the more reason for us to not help you melle get your god items and whatnot. :)

and BLM have to think, thus, they are ruined? ...Have you ever been to school? You have to think there sometimes, too.

Let me preface this by reinterating that - AS WRITTEN - the update doesnt bother me.

This is really an incredibly STUPID comment. Blms have to think now? About what? Without elemental magic, Blms have.... lemme see.... NOTHING! It's not the Blms that have to think, it's entire LSs that have to think and change their strategy to not include so many blackmages. Please refrain from making more ignorant comments in the future. Thanks.

As BLM this doesn't really hurt me.

I'd be pissed off if I was a MNK.(and no not because of Chi Blast)
Is this the old "good luck getting your gear when you can't throw a bunch of us at it" arguement? It was funny when rangers used it, it's every bit as funny with blms.

Lol this is only going to hurt you if your LS has an overabundance of blm's. If you are in a solid enough LS that realizes the benefit of ALL jobs in the game, then you won't feel the sting at all. But, hey, if you're in a sky LS with an overabundance of blm's since the rng nerf, then "good luck getting your gear when you can't throw a bunch of us at it" :) Cuz we certainly don't need sky. You won't see a lot of us blm sticking around past zenith mitts, and why should we?

This is a "Good luck killing Aspido or Turtle KS99" argument for your black belt item.

Those are the only fights I've been involved in that was a "throw as many BLM as possible" tactic. Neither of them dropped anything for me.

Sure I BLM cannon for exp capping(I use my Ninja for merits), but this only affects NMs.

You want to hurt BLMs? Make Genbu drop A hands less(if that's even possible). Make crafting more expensive. Make Yigit feet harder to get.

Cause unlike with rangers, we didn't actually want anything from the stuff we were chucked at. Sure I remember when we did a 22 minute Kirin with 10 rangers, but the Osode went to a ranger. It was a self beneficial tactic.

As everyone said, it's the endgame linkshells that get hurt, not the BLMs. And as of now the only endgame activity i do is dynamis, which this affects me not a bit. I guess this means if I want to get into HNM again at some point I'll have to be a good BLM instead of just a BLM. No sweat, got that part covered.

So seriously, who cares? Not like THF nerf that made them even shittier to exp and merits as an attempt to hurt war and nin cannon parties.(didn't do that so well)
