Someone said it translated losely as "Going all out" so I'm guessing it's along the lines of focus/berserk/agressor/etc in that it boosts something while dropping something else. Raiton and Suiton are definate merit buys for me (Earth and Lightning resistance down for Hojo and Stun/Thunder Nukes) and it would take something pretty badass out of Sange to make me not get the full set.

I'm thinking Martyr gives the party MP and Devotion gives them HP. Or vice-verca. Maybe >.>

Point is, everybody subs NIN for merits. That has no relation to end-game fights, where everybody subs THF, or SAM, or something else that doesn't give shadows. Oh, and PLDs tank, not NINs, so they're gonna love the extra defense.

i KNOW NIN SUBS for merits, but I am talkin about RDM>WHM in merit pts, this is the only point I am making I not sayin WHM is usless and that Pro V is uselss.

What does pld tank that ninja can't tank as well or better with the proper gear/support?

and knowing that Rdms>Whms in the minds of the current meriters pre-update, what exactly is changing?

If I read that right, and you said that nin don't tank endgame, you're kinda off on that statement.

I can't wait to start soloing T's as RDM with Phalanx II and Slow II either :P

oh btw, i wonder how many blms are going to get the Thunder AM II... maybe some blms will be very happy that they have blizzard or fire merits :P

Maybe NIN nukes will be back in vogue? go go Nin/Blm endgame DD!

I'm sure every SMN is thinking this... hopefully the new SMN WS'es will do level 3 SC's :O

oh i just saw that Mnk get Mantra (similar to Chakra?)

And i have to say this... lots of these new abilities don't have any comments (yet) about what they do...

I don't think its RDM>WHM pre merit parties at all.

I rather have WHM w/ RDM combo 50-73 really.
 
wow so this is really cool. im really glad i have 9 merits saved up, now i just want the descriptions of the abilities and other stuff so i can see what i want to spend on!! ;)
 
What I wanna know is if the Mazakuras (sp?) stack, and will they give off some intense hate.
 
You guys must merit in different places than I do. In the thickets in high speed cannons where everyone has shadows, people still take plenty of hits all the time. Higher def and especially magic def will rock out there with those crazy blu mamools and that stupid puk knockback move.

Fights don't last long enough to matter and 1-2 Curagas will take care of most of the PT with alot of MP still remaining.
