Alright folks.

It's been 2 weeks since I started my diet plan at Medical Weight Loss center, and so far, I have to show for it...

Just about 5 pounds lost!

Not much, but the difference is there. My belly has gotten smaller, my cheeks have gotten thinner, cheekbones have appeared, and my pants are falling off my ass! (Well they always were, but, we won't get into that).

Not only that, but last visit, Monday, I got put on the Top Loser board! (That's for all people who lose 3+ pounds in a week).

I'm doing the best I can, but I can honestly say, it's not getting any easier to drink 64oz of water a day, or eat 3 square meals >_<.

Wow, that's a lot of weight Yomie!

<congratulations!>

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I don't know what they tell you there but I personally eat 6 times a day but pretty much 1-4 is Vegetable and health food snacks.

Then I have 2 healthy "full" meals.

but....that is all tied in with a workout schedule that makes this all work hand in hand.

I only consume about 150 grams of protein a day and so far the actual "fat" has just melted away and now the definition of muscles start to show.

You can get rid of that "pooch belly or beer belly" it just takes dedication which it seems you have plenty of.

It will all be over soon just keep at it, it just gets easier and easier.

Excersise will bring you results a bit quicker if you keep it with that healthy diet.

Your pick me up for the day is:

Water Water Water it DOES work wonders.

Take Care and keep at it,

Mo....

P.S. GOOD JOB!!! to lose 3+ pounds a week is fantastic.

When it comes to diets, a lot simple has to do with genetics and habits. I eat everything they say you shouldn’t eat, and I eat all the time, but I naturally do not eat any large amounts of food at any one sitting. Up until recently I only weighted 118 at 5’ 4’’, which is under weight. I’m now at about 127 (still under weight), but that is because I got married. Well it is because I am eating more bread, than what I used too. The foods you tend to crave or like the most are the ones you really shouldn’t be eating. Breads and other starch foods, is what tends to cause me to gain weight. Where on other people they could eat nothing but starch and never gain a pound. This is why some diets work for people and some do not. It is a matter of identifying what foods your body is converting into weight and cutting out those foods or reducing their portions.

It sounds as if your diet is going well. Congratulations.

/em is a CARB ADDICT

....which is why I have to work-out every @%$&ing day

I wish actors didn't have to be so damned thin...I would eat pizza and ice cream every damned day

I'm an endo/mesomorph so I can gain weight quickly but I can loose it fairly fast as well. I just need to pick up the weights and I gain muscle and loose fat. Right now, being sedinatry due to FFXI >< and my own laziness, I am about 270 pounds and ~20% BF. So if I was 0% body fat I would be about 216 pounds. I recently started lifting again so I am going for about a body weight of 230-240 which would put me back around 8% body fat and wearing 32-34" waist pants instead of these 38's =/.

You have to take into account that muscles actually weights more than fat. A friend of mine is 5’ 8’’ with a large frame. Thus he should weight 152 to 172. Because he is a body builder and has more muscle mass than the “ideal” person, he actually is in the 200’s. He is not over weight, because I would guess he actually has 2 to 4 percent body fat, which is the “ideal” male BMI. He does fitness training and diets, which is how I ended up with all this useless information in my brain. Zero percent body fat is actually unhealthy; I was actually put on a weight gaining diet because of it.

Ops, I re-read your post and you did take it into account. nevermind.

When it comes to my metabolism, it REALLY stinks.

Before I started this diet, I didn't eat that much anyway. In fact, I was under-eating. 1 meal a day at most. And I was gaining weight.

Back when I was eating 2-3 good meals a day, I wasn't losing, or gaining weight.

The only time I actually lost weight on my own, is when I quit D&D, and dropped 20 pounds by not eating a days worth of chocolate and chips once a week.

I'm doing very good, I can tell. I'm getting frustrated with having to cook for myself 3 times a day, but I'm doing my very best.

Unfortunatly, my mom wants to go see "The Grudge" but I'm so afraid to go to a movie theather, and be around popcorn and candy, that I keep declining her. I'm also afraid to go out to lunch/dinner, because my diet is SO strict. (i.e. I'm only allowed to have Morton's Lite Salt, 1 tsb of Ketchup, 1 slice of diet bread, etc, etc.)

Well, I go for another weigh-in tomorrow folks, so wish me luck!

The longer you go the easier it is. It' will become more of a habit instead of something you have to do. Keep with it. :D Also make sure that they also coach you in finding a balanced diet after the weight loss. A diet that will allow you some flexibility and will keep you at your goal weight. If the diet is too strict I find that it is harder to maintain. Also it starts to make you feel guilty if you mess up a day. A diet is just that, your diet.

Diet = What you eat from day to day. So if you slip up one meal/day it isn't a big deal. You shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water, as the saying goes. Understand that if 9 times out of 10 you are putting something healthy into your body that one time you indulge isn't a crime. Go GO GO!!!

Edit: I am not a bodybuilder though. If you saw me I would look big but I most people guess under my weight by 50-60 pounds.

Eating actually keeps the metabolism working.
I was leanest when I ate 6 meals a day...Granted they were smaller meals, but more often. It didn't hurt that I worked out a minimum of 6 days a week.
No pain no gain...
But if the effort is put in, you will see results!
I know you can be successful with this diet, but don't ever try to rationalize that a lack of food is good for you in any way. This is just not true.

Diet, exercise and proper sleep are the 3 most important things you should be considering. Put those three things as top priority and you will achieve your goal.
Good luck. And keep us posted.

Kipsy. What you are doing proves that you are awesome.
More Power to ya, and alot of Good Luck and such.

On a personal note, I HAVE to work out 3 times a Week, not much Choice on that one, otherwise my First Sergeant kicks down my Door and makes me call him Daddy. And you can't believe how thankful I am for that, because I would never do that on my own Accord. I still eat whatever I want though, Take that Air Force. ::runs away from the First Sergeant::

Well, I went in for my weigh-in today, and I am, currently....

247.8! My subgoal for the week was 247.6, so, I'm just about there!

In reward, my mom bought me Dawn of The Dead (<3) Tomie, Tomie Replay, and Shikoku (With Chiaki Kuriyama)

Go figure that my local Best Buy would have awesome random Japanese movies!
