Update problems already!

I've been connected twice now, and both times my game has crashed within seconds of getting online. I see my character and the surrounding area and then bam, back to desktop. Anyone else have this problem?
 
That happened to me last update when I tried to get the update right away. My update had got corrupted and I had to reinstall. Have fun. :dwarf:

I'm checking the files for FFXI, this should take a while, but hopefully I won't have to reinstall completely.

Edit: just noticed i have 20,936 files to check. This will definitely suck if I have to reinstall after doing this.
 
i have yahoo dsl and trying to update on ps2 and computer at once and its only letting me do one at a time usually i can do both ><

My gf uses my PS2, and I do PC.
Its going to be a long night.
Time to pull out my Nintendo DS, and play Mario Kart in the meantime.

If the issues are that bad, there might be half of us not available to log on tonight.

Aside from the mass-update for Diabolos, BSTs, Ballista, Dragoons...etc. isn't tonight also the beginning of that Christmas Festival?
 
the update on computer is going really really fast so hopefully when im done with update on computer i can do husbands ps2 ::::crosses fingers ::::: lol
 
I'm sure you're using Windower.

It's the Distance.dll file that's causing the error. Atleast for me
 
windower?......... hehe only a min left on computer and that update is done then to the big boy shesh
 
Took out my distance plugin and now it works. I hope they get that fixed, it was really useful.
 
Awww, I've become addicted to the distance plugin for brd. It makes working with paladins so much easier.

NOOO!!! I haven't sight-judged song distances in over a year. Man I hope they fix that soon. lol

Here's a n00b question... what's the distance plugin?
 
Shows the distance from you to the target in the top right corner (like fraps shows your frame rate). This makes getting the distances down for brd songs much less stress full.

As has been said multiple times before... Do not speak about using the windower ingame. Your chatlogs are pretty much all that can be used against you. Windower isn't something that SE "allows" and is concidered a 3rd party application.
