Anyone else getting a stupid long time remaining? Been doing this thing for an hour and a half and still have another hour and a half to go... Never had an update this big unless it was for an expansion. Unless I just forget how bad their updates are? Just making sure it's not me is all.
 
Only took me like 20~30 minutes tops.
 
Some updates are pain in the ass, others aren't. This one took me about 45 minutes, but in the past I've had some last overnight, 6+ hours. I think the longest one I've ever encountered was 15 hours?
 
Try a clean install with all the original boxes on dial up. It was taking so long that I told him to just bring it to my place and leave it there updating while he dealt with getting his dsl back up. Offering dial up as a back up isn't being thoughtful it's slapping someone in the face.

At any rate, took thirty minutes for me but I suppose it depends on a lot of things. None of my friends have had the update take over an hour though.
 
Took me 6 hours on dedicated T1. Took the PS2 under 3.
 
i must have been lucky, my update toke under 10 minutes
 
I imagine that it may run faster during times when the server is not as busy. I couldn't start till I got home from work (6pm EST), so I'm currently in the middle of the busy rush when everyone is getting home in North America and the Japanese are waking up and setting it up to download as they head off to school or work.

Probably going to be over 4 hours for me.
 
@road: we know what you were doing during the update then....


@tenchi: i started my update at 6:30pm EST and it took 45 minutes give or take a few.
 
started mine around 2pm est. lasted maybe 30 minutes. this update shouldnt have taken you guys that long. it wasnt that big of an update. sometimes, when it says it has that long remaining, the best thing to do is to stop the update and redo it.

Hmm, makes sense. I started around 5PM EST.

Took three hours. Owell. I'm on, yet camping my moogle. Just need a Test the to kill Maat.
 
My PC took about 15 mins, Ps2 about 35 mins. :anxious-1:
 
Took me 50 minutes and my PC is approaching it's last legs. It could be the computer, keep trying though.
