some features require template changes... which we'll get to shortly. Its not fun and it makes little kids cry.
 
As part of our new social networking system, users can now request that people on their buddy list confirm their friendship, after which time a person's list of confirmed friends will be viewable to other users.

Thread Prefixes

Long requested by users, threads can now have administrator-defined prefixes to their titles.

Thread prefixes are divided into groups by the administrator, allowing different prefixes to be available in different forums.

Can we request certain prefixes? I'd say that one for each job would be good as to label questions/information about that job.
 
Make a seperate thread with forum and recommended prefixes please and we will consider them. I was thinking of some for the AH forums. WTS/WTB/WTT and such
 
I don't know if it's just me or not, probably is since I'm computer retarded in most cases, or if it's just a new thing with the new board.

I keep my account set so I don't have to log in each time I come here. Earlier was working the same way. Just come on now and it takes me to a page I've never seen before, probably since I never have to log in.

Tried to log in 4 times and the "thanks for logging in etc etc click here if page doesn't redirect you" thing came up like normal, but it kept taking me back to that main page and not logging me in, even if I click the link. Wouldn't log me in at all until I clicked one of the thread links that shows up on the page then it just showed me as logged in like normal.

Don't know if it's an issue or if it's just me being computer retarded but I've never had an problem logging in like that until now even when I did have to resubmit my password and user name. Happens in Nightshift and also the 2007 layout. Happens anytime I come to the site after I leave, won't log me in, but if I click a thread it shows me logged in and everything like normal.

same seems 2007 is broken might want to click the box to force everyone to go to nightshift till it is fixed

Testing QCDN2007 post

Edit: I can post on qcdn07 then.

One thing i noticed is the "Edit Profile" is gone from my User CP on both forum layouts.

Edit2: Also if you click on peoples names to see there profile all it shows is there name. Their sig, av and profile pic are all missing. But according to the rep thread thats only on qcdn07

It's not your computer, I have the same problem too. Never had it before. Although I'm using the college MACs at the moment, don't know if that makes any difference, I don't think so anyways. =x

I had the same problem where you login, and you get redirected to the page where it asks you to login again. Its not until I click on the bottom link "Final Fantasy XI Forums - Quetzalcoatl Server" that I can actually see that i'm logged in and get the registered member options.

On top of that, I had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to get to the page where it lists all the forums.

I hope this is just temporary, because this new version is really confusing and not at all user friendly to figure out how to navigate. =/


Edit: I just now couldn't post the above msg because it was "too short". I was using the QCDN2007 style. (Just changed it now to the night shift and hopefully this msg posts -_-)

I thought the same thing lol...but we already had some elements of it in place well before the boards were just recently...formatted to a similar construction.

Yeah qcdn2007 appears to be broken. Nightshift works fine for now.
 
Aww, why aren't we allowed to use the "myspace"-like profile editing features? xD
 
Where the hell is the 'Edit Profile' option and why can't I confirm/deny friend requests until I get the half-an-hour-later email from QCDN's server?
