UR DOIN IT RONG

Any Corsair but me and like 3 other people on this server......

To elaborate:

1. Cors subbing /whm for EXP/Merits
2. Cors subbin /nin for EXP/Merits when they arent pulling.
3. Denali Bonnet.
4. Cors full timing AF and or relic.
5. Cors who dont know which rolls are better depending on event/PT.

There are more unfortunatly.

/shrug, I sub WHM to merit parties all the time. Because it's what the party wants.

Of course, when I merit my COR, it's almost exclusively in LS parties, which typically means at least one relic among the DDs.

/dnc is far supior then /whm. COR/WHM makes me want to punch babies.

1. People in besieged/campaign battle who spam /say <hp>, thinking that someone cares that they are taking too much damage for their own good and are about to get snuffed out. If I'm there /anon, wearing my Reverend Mail subbing /NIN, then I'm not there for your well being (I will raise ya though, eventually). It a lesson in sociology, find a friend that wants to heal you and party up.

2. People /randoming after a Beseiged completes. It's as fresh and inspired as plain oatmeal.

I agree, i refuse all parties that request /WHM. If i wanted to cure someone, i'd lfp on RDM or WHM.

actually i didnt know the errant body vs the yyr resting situation, so i tried it and found what I was doing with yyr was better. But then again I was just doing campaign and I was just getting mp for the next bp not actually resting all the way. I'm not doubting shirai I just didnt know that lol.

Lets see something from my jobs

Red Mages- Not swapping their staves for enfeebles, dont know how to kite or sleep shit fast in nyzul; dont know how to solo in campaign since rdm/anything can take nearly any nq monster down. Rdms in merit not being able to keep up or they do and the party isnt hasted which you know makes me feel like some kind of jerk(not really but its hard to put this in words) since I'm on blu and when I'm on blu in merit I dont tend to y'know notice stuff or since I'm swapping gear so much I have a narrowed field of attention on my party. In the end I'd say 7/10 Red mages make me want almost switch because they magically dc or they cant keep up lol.

Summoners- not many i see around too much but not taking advantage of smn skill on bps makes a big difference on shit that counts! Not a lash on anyone but if you see my smn (not in action) you see me in my max mp gear for the future odin and for more mp to burn on avatars until i switch to my regular setup or a reduced bp cost due to the surplus mp I have then swap

Blue mages- Oh lord so many things wrong upcoming blue mages 60s and onwards lovin those mp earrings, please dont lol. If anything if you're lazy swap out your tp body for af body its really worth the difference and vice versa af body isnt a tp piece. Yes I know due to our job we spend more time casting spells than tping(well pending event) but still that sh will go miles farther than your af body when you're cooling down and keeping your mp up, even better relic body! Swords are a thing that irk me greatly pretty much from 55 to 72 musketeer falchions are your friend the accuracy will help so much since you are never capped. The only real exceptions to those swords I could see are greed scimitar and leech scimitar(if you're lucky) but please dont use those wize wizard anelaces and ifrit's blades when there's better. 3 Str is nice and probrably the foremost reason people go for this and yes spells make up most of our damage but when you compare it to your offhand base damage its 36 dmg for something like say anelace or Snr. Msk falchion which both have 39 base dmg, anelace has +2 dex and vit still good for big 3 since all are modified by dex, vit will help a little for cures. Dmg yes wont help spells but dmg alone separates the difference in ws damage and your hits in tping compared to ifrits blade at 72+.

I take the simple solution of only partying with LS members on my COR.

Which basically means that pretty much any merit party that I join is going to be disgustingly good, so if they want me /WHM, I ain't gonna complain. Seriously. We have lost chain at Mamool camps because we've killed everything too fast. Admittedly, that was a 3-relic DD party with a G-horn BRD, but still.

And if I'm out there on PLD (rarely, but it happens) and the various mages who refuse to cure anyone but themselves are there, I find great solace in what will happen once the boss I'm tanking for the collective good finally kills me, and immediately starts raping the rest of you squishy mages.

it's so good to see people willing to work together in this game. warms the heart really.

Ya, i should clarify, if it's linkshell mates, its a different story. I'll joke and give them a hard time about it, but I trust them and I'll cave in for them. But if it's just a group asking me to join and i ask "need me to /nin and pull or /rng" and the answer is "yea.... how bout you come down as /WHM, m'kay", then no.

That's part of the fun. Danger, excitement, and evasion skillups.

One would hope you would loose chain with that much fire power, as looseing chain because of lack of mobs can be done with just about any half decent group. It cant be that good if your being forced to gimp your self by subbing WHM. If your RDM cant keep up then maybe something is wrong.

Not saying I wouldn't toss a cure if i see someone's HP Bar is [||| ]. If we are in a PT together, then I'm all about the teamwork, i play for the name on the front of jersey (in this case the Zaltanaites). Just the "/say <hp> OMG I'm gonna die if you jack offs don't cure me, lol" gets on my nerves a bit. Maybe it because i changed my brand of coffee or somethin'. :)

OMG this right here, as BLU, I see these other BLUs wearing MP earrings/rings and it makes me want to slap them silly! Even worse is BLUs who DONT swap out gear for spells, wtf! I tell people new to BLU time and time again, its a very gear intensive job, but all i get from when I tell them theyre playing it wrong is "BLU is flexible, it cant be played wrong" /sigh, /slap.

My bar example above stunk... [|||.............]

Keep telling yourself that.

Whats there to keep telling myself about. Any competent party can easily run out of mobs at mamool, its not hard. Ive done it many times. Also something is wrong if your RDM cant keep up with their duties, being it people are sponging or whatever. If you RDM is burning through enough mp that cant be recouped between Refresh/Sanction Refresh/Evokers/and BRD refresh/ and anything else that might give them refresh, and being able to rest occasionally and have convert, then yes there is something wrong.

Agree'd with everything both you and Khidir has said.
A lot of newcoming BLUs seem to use the mp earrings and I've seen a couple BLUs use hp to mp rings as well (if your elvaan or galka i can see the use but it was mithra).
I guess when they're at 60+ they won't seem to know until the big 3 comes into play, which isn't too bad. But, if they don't notice that swapping gear helps extremely?
There doing it wrong...

A "competent" party won't. A good party might. And if you're already killing everything there is to kill, faster than it can respawn, then worrying about secondary concerns (like what your COR is subbing) is irrelevant.

It's that "Damn, we could be making another 2-3% more efficient ways of losing chain for ourselves."

So like I said. If they want me /WHM, I'll come /WHM, and it doesn't bother me. I've got a solid MP pool, I don't mind tossing the occasional Cure and Erase, and it's reasonably relaxing most of the time.

Agreed, BLUs with MP boosting rings/earrings fail. If they aren't swapping gear despite knowing how much it helps, they're just a joke.

This is *very* loosely applicable to the thread: Summoners who have a macro for every single action they take. It's distracting and more often that not it's annoying.

Are you saying a macro that "says stuff", or a macro in general?

I agree with the summoner testimony there,
but I can't disagree that when I did level summoner back in the day, I did the same with my macros haha

Those days are over now though >>
