on alot of graphic sites i go to, their are a bunch of people who make small user-bars that describe some of the things they are interested or programs they use. figured id make a few for FFXI. nothing great but i was bored > >

These things are so old, I remember when they were like, starting out 2~3 years ago, and I didn't really think they were that cool back then.

Still, they're kinda cool to show your interests, but thats what the section in your profile is for too, hehe.
 
I think it would be useful to make nation bars 100px wide and maybe 15px tall. I could create secondary user groups that people could join and thus get those bars into their post profile, just below the avatar ...., hmm ...., that almost sounds like a premium QCDN feature to come.

Let's make them 150px wide and like 15px tall, one for each nation. I will look into implementation over the weekend and just throw it up there if it isn't too much effort to add on the vBulletin side.

You have a good eye for design, there is really nothing I could suggest at this time, just create something that looks right to you, and if users don't like it they can try to make a better one or go and suck an elf.

I like the idea of the nation bars alot. I also really like what Alla does with the equip show off. Well....not just so that ppl could show off their equip, but more importantly, you could see the equip of someone who you know kicks ass at their job and you can see the equip that helps them kick ass. In this way, it helps you make a descision on what kind of equip you should get.
 
I actually talked to the coder who did that for alla, he too was playing WoW on Garona. It would be a major undertaking to create something like that to integrate with vBulletin.

Alla's operating budget is several orders of magnitude larger than what QCDN is bringing in. There is no way I could ever raise enough cash to get something like that done. I would need a corporate sponspor with a few thousand dollars to spare, or a coder who knows the in-and-outs of vBulletin, XML, and doesn't want to get paid for his or her work.
 
alright sculli, i tryed making some bars using the demensions you wanted. kinda hard to think of something so i just tryed to put something in it so it wouldnt look blank =P. if you wanted something different or change something, just tell me

I like this. Sculli, for us people who are rank in all 3 nations, will we be able to use all 3? That would be too cool.
