Chicken soup doesn't really medically help. It's just a placebo. You drink/eat it, while thinking to yourself how it's going to cure you of your nasty sickness, so you feel uplifted. Hormones are released that make you happier, and thus your recovery speeds up. The same effect would happen if they said Nachos cured illness.

Although now i think about it, it probably is just wizards.

Completely untrue. Chicken broth has several enzymes in it which promote healing of the throat and digestive tract, and promote mucus growth in the stomach and intestines.

It may not heal the common cold, but if you have a sore throat or the flu, it damn well does help.

I am going to have to get me some of those Nachos for colds the next time im sick so i can feel both uplifted and full of cheesy goodness... and chili on top. Wait that may not be a good idea if there happens to be a reversal of fortune.
