Does this go on the flame board or "Good Times?"

Rofl

"I Will itch"
"Might want to get that examined"

nice

I wish it was me - woulda busted out one of my favorite phrases - "That sounds like a personal problem"

I didn't know an image could qualify as tl;dr, but there ya go.

I cringe at the thought of leveling a job that I can't get to 25 solo with.

Oh yeah. I remember the dunes. I keep going there with my monk hoping to fully level it for my Thief to use at odd times.

Then I keep leaving and remembering why my Monk is what level it is...

I still take blind invites in Valkrum. I used to send blind invites in Valkrum when I first started the game.

If I was a Bard or White Mage, or whatever the hell important job, of course I'd ask the party what they had. But what if you were a Warrior with no support job? Would you still react in the way you did in Valkrum as a different job class?

Situation changes things. Solution? Don't seek, go on /anon and start your own party if you're picky about parties other people start there. 8)

But that is still wrong of Foxfire to say. :? It looks like he got a major attitude change from when I knew him.

I had the same conversation with the same person.
I was a lvl 10 ranger at the time. I was soloin with my flag up when he asked me to join.

He got real mad when I asked questions about his party. Called me a snob and an eliteist. I stayed calm and even tried explainin to him that ranger was expensive, and if I died, I lose more than a couple of xp b/c food cost so much and what not.

He wasn't havin it, I was a noob, he was gonna pwn me with his lvl 53 whm, blah blah blah.

Newbs today got no respect.

That was pretty funny, I must admit. I loved the "I will itch" line. =P For some reason, I never seem to get bad parties in the dunes. I don't count my war days.. since we were all newbs back then, but the parties I had with whm and blm were always pretty good. Damn nubs today... no respect for their elders. >_>

I was fortunate to get my MNK out of the dunes over the weekend, and not encounter (too many) idiots on the way out....but it's people like that who get on my nerves.

My face hurts from laughin so hard. I just showed this to a coworker that doesn't grasp the whole on-line RPG attraction. I think he gets it now.

I had to run through the dunes with an LS pal last night to catch the ferry. Even though I was /anon, that didn't stop anyone from scopin out the whm apparel . . .

5 examines, 5 separate requests for PL; I KNEW I shoulda went naked :P

Aye, the last time I ran through the Dunes I came across an LS member taking a break from his normal gig (WAR/NIN) to level PLD. His party got one look at me, checked me (WTF for? You know I'm past a certain level...) and started harrassing him to get me to PL them, at which time I warped and spouted off some shit about PLs before the screen went black and I popped into Jeuno. I should have Diaga'd all their potential mobs first.

I can't stand to stay in the Dunes for more than a level at a time now, though it would probably be best to do it all in one or two days so I don't have to make so many return trips. I should just solo my low jobs to 19 or 20 in Tahrongi Canyon, Maze of Shakrami and Meriphataud Mountains.

 Omg tff. Thanks for sharin' Pere.

Foxfire is such a moron. You know, recently in Qufim Island, he decided to get revenge on someone who kicked him from a previous party (an ls member and friend I might add) and mpk him with a dancing weapon.

So he died, and like 6-7 other people died (including the victim) trying to kill this damn thing. Eventually it was killed by a mid-level PLD.

Moral: Don't invite this idiot.

I am NOT an elitist. I've never had a cannon. Never had a static. Never leveled a mage, and only somewhat leveled my tanks. I've taken monk nin thf war and paladin through the dunes in general pt's. I know what a warrior faces. Monk too. Thief--you know I've done that. I'll take blind invites. I'm just amazed that they still happen.

In the last party of the night, the tank deleveled after a Tinkerer ate his lunch, and lost all his armor. I get more of a kick out of stuff like this than angry. I used to say that there are no newb and newbie players left--only idiots and veterans. I guess that may be wrong. The samurai was talking in party chat and ran straight into the goblin again. I haven't seen this level of insanity since showing up as a thief last summer when kazham keys were camped like Yellowstone.

Here's looking forward to today. Screenshots may be forthcoming.

After putting down the jobs I took through the dunes, I guess the title is wrong. Should be take 6. I must have blocked a few out of my mind.

This party honestly did try today. It was a good setup plagued by dunewbism proper.

Ya know?

We oughtta have a thread devoted to nothin but screenshots of Valkurm parties gone horribly wrong.

The only real issue remains whether it would be more at home on the Flameboard or Goodtimes . . .
