I loved the first one, and I finally got around to playing this one.

I'm just starting out, but I must say that this may be the best looking PS2 game I have played, and the music is great as well.

The battle system is a little different, but the game is very promising so far.

Anyone else played this, or the first one?

No spoilers please :)

I played for quite a while, then stopped and haven't gotten around to picking it up. The game is great, I've just been too focused on other things to keep playing.

I played the first one.

Very different kind of game, but fun !

I always though about picking it up, I might have to put aside some money to do that now.

Bought it a long time ago, still haven't beaten it. games not that terribly hard most the way except some bosses. having to level your event characters before they leave the party to get the best gear is annoying though, its what made me stop playing

You only have to get them 4-5 levels, and once you can start farming some of the bosses it gets a lot easier.

I just got it used for $25 in great condition with the case & manual.. good to hear I made the right decision lol

I played it and beat it. A great game all the way through, and I thought the ending battles were amazingly well done. Odin is pimp too.

not like the normal einherjar, like the actual living people you need to get to like 50 before they leave the party via events

You can still farm the bosses with them, but if you level up your einherjar and release them as you go, usually you can manage to keep your story characters up to par as well.

I've been playing this game around, the second time through. I've actually decided to keep all my characters for now so they interact with character from their own past when you enter battle. Also this may just be me, but I'm learning a lot of different things I didn't know the first time playing around too lol.

The game itself is a decent challenge, more so then a lot of the other games out there. There's quite a bit to do in the game, if you want to get everything accomplished . . .
the only thing I dislike is the lack of special moves for each individual character.

That's actually not too surprising. I know with the first game, on your first play through you could only complete about 40% of the game; on the second play through, you unlocked the real story and got more of the story. I think to get everything required a third play through, but it's been a while.
