Stupid bard running around yelling for a party gets aggro and dumps the exoray on my lvl 42 party. Wasted our whm and puller, and would have gotten me except that we got a call for help out, and I survived long enough to get massive cures.

If you see him, smack him upside his head

He's a jerk cause we were in the secret room in Crawlers Nest, he dragged it to us, slept the damn thing, and ran away. I know shit happens, but that what they make flame forums for, no?

I was in the same party with Valmung that day. The exoray wasnt his but the other party's (lvl~47 behind the Cermet door). When I saw the yellow name I went to help and he joined soon after.
I dont know where the hornfly came from but he didn't aggro the exoray, he was in that room the whole time.

Musta been after or before you partied with him. He was /sh for party.

But I could be mistaken. If I am, I'm sorry
 
why didn't your white mage have reraise casted on them?
 
I have no idea why our whm didn't have reraise.
 
it only takes once for us to learn to use it.

I am guilty of not using reraise until about level 43-45. I would only use it on occasion, then my pt and i all took a dive out in Western Altepa. I ended up having to HP after waiting about 20 mins for a friend of mine's party to show up to raise us (they got there in teh same amount of time it took me to hp to jeuno and come back. )

I would suggest for all you melee people out there, if your WHM doesnt have reraise casted on them, ask them to do it, or ask them if they have it. It will save you so much time and energy in the end, and its not even that expensive of a spell. I know you might think, well its not my job to ask another person to do this.. well, if your WHM isnt smart enough to use it like I was, then its probably in your best interest to ask them anyway. If your WHM is dead, you can't be raised, or you have to rely on another party to do it, and its gonna take you so much longer.. etc..

Now that you mention it, I remember what a jerk he was. He /sh for party twice while still in the party, when he learned that our tank was going to leave.

Btw, was Ruck in your party? If not, I'm sorry, must have been after that. ^^
 
Ruck was in our pt. He joined up after our whm and rng ate it.
 
Hmmm...i have to say that my impression of Valmung is that he is indeed a jerk. Was in a party heading for the nest. We got the the secret room where Valmung and a few others were all seeking. Valmung checked me and "/s another bard how gay" then goes on how my crappy my equip is because it is mainly to boost MP..."you need CHR not MP" Now i have 2 sets of equip and macros to switch between them: one to boost MP and one to boost CHR. I switched to my CHR and /s him "to look again you idiot" (was pretty pissed). he scoffs and goes on how his is much better. Granted he had 1 Loyalty Ring +1 (I just have 2 loyalty rings) but he had 2 Drone earrings on...wtf? Yes, nice equip but what the hell does a Bard need Drone earrings? I have MP earrings on....anyways, this is going on too long but in my opion...Valmung is a total prick.
 
On a side note, even though Porum is in our LS, the whole MP boost equipment is a GOOD thing. It's better to concentrate on cha, but I appreciate the LEVEL 50 BARD/WHM who has enough freakin MP to cast Raise if the raiser is caught off guard.

i'ma have to come to bat here for valmung, i'm in his ls he's a very fun guy once you get to know him...

you may not know me, i haven't played for a few weeks cuz my ps2 is getting repaired (burnt it out somehow), i've been a voyeur (sp?) on these boards for months just don't post much but i've gotta defend valmung here, he's an awesome player and as far as i've known an awesome person so lay off

And Valmung could be a great guy, but he was acting pretty retarded the other night.

Hey, we all have our off nights. One time I aggroed a nm on a party that just gave me an invite, causesing them all to die. Wednesday(or Tues) was one for Valmung.
 
i understand we all have bad nights, i just like to remind ppl not to judge others on one encounter, who knows what was going on in his day, but he really is a good person and fun to pt with

just as if i flamed you on our first encounter cuz of a misunderstanding or something, someone would hopefully step in and tell me my perception of you might be wrong

i'm just saying to anyone out there that's reading this not to judge him soley on this
