One of my roomates got this game about a week ago and then my other roomate installed it on his pc and used a no-cd crack for it and I had been watching them play some of the game while I was on FFXI one night.

Well finally I couldn't keep my curiousity contained and I installed it on my pc and used the no-cd crack. I've been playing it for the last two days and my god, its a brilliant game. It is for all practical purposes, an RPG, more of an action RPG. Third person camera angle as well as first person camera angle, I like playing in third person view, but its nessicary to switch over to first person when your using "ranged weapons" aka. guns.

This game is in no way intended to be played by children, as its rated M for Mature with: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes, and Strong Language. The mature lable couldnt be any closer to the truth. Though you might think a game this vulgar sounding might be horrible, simple because of the way it sounds.

This couldn't be farther from the truth. The game is dialoge heavy which is one of the area's it shines in, because for each word of dialoge comes some of THE BEST voice acting I have seen in a game to date. Every character that you can actually talk to has their own voice actor (or so it seems, because its done so well). When talking to anyone your given multiple lines of dialoge to respond by, generally an option between 1-4 lines, though more can be available.

The character stats and character building is fairly simplified, when you get experience points you used them in the character sheet screen, if adding another level to an ability requires, say, 6 xp, if you have it, you click the next level dot and then accept. Experience as far as I can tell, is not given out by beating up enemies, its given my completing quests. And this is another area the game shines in.

There are a ton of side quests you can take part in, as well as a main theme'd person who gives you quests. You can essentially choose to play your character's role in this game in a few different ways depending on your actions and what you say or dont say to given characters.

One of my roomates actually beat it last night, but he was playing it quite a lot, id guess if you played through the game straight it might take a day or two to beat. It also depends, ive been playing it for about id guess, 10+ hours total and it still feels like im not that far. But I have been having a blast playing this game, a lot of the dialoge seems like the game was just made for people like me to play it. It's absolutely hilarious at some parts, well at many parts really, which is one of the reasons its so fun to play.

And uh, for the guys out there, and girls.. if you like this kind of thing, let me just say, they have the "jiggle factor" down perfectly, and its a wonderous thing. So far, ive not seen any nudity in this game, but from watching my roomate who was much farther along than I in one place.. i suppose a thong bottom and uh.. tassles.. would be close to nudity.

Character creation is the game's only dissapointment really, its unfortunately very limited. You can either answer a series of questions and let the game generate a character for you, or straight up choose your own character, which is what I did.

There are 7 clans of Vampires, and you can choose to be either a male or female of one of the clans. All clans really are is basically a type of vampire. There are only two models for each clan, male and female. So like I said, there wasnt a whole lot of creation so to speak, atleast in the appearance of your character. Your free to develope your stats in any way you want though.

Though the character creation was limited, im sure, there's something for everyone. My roomates both played female characters, I wanted to try soemthing different than being a female, oh.. and the female character models are um.. quite appealing.. well accept for the Nosferatu.. they're hidious.. but all Nosferatu are. The male models werent in most cases all that cool looking, which did leave me wanting to play a female, but like I said, i wanted to do something a little different than my roomates, so male I chose.

I've never played Vampire The Masquerade, or any pc games based on its rules before. Though to me, this game plays like Morrowind at times, though it is 100 times more captivating. If you like action rpg's and have a good adult sense of humor.. and perhaps a bit of geek in you, or say you just like vampires... Check this game out. It runs off the Half-Life 2 engine so you can expect a decent gameplay. But really, you get so much more.

Part of one of my favorite quotes from my experience playing the game so far - told a vampire chick that the Regent of the Tremeur(sp?) (tremeur are the vampires who use blood magic aka. Thurmaturgy (sp?) ) that he thought her group of vampires were responsible for starting a plauge. Needless to say she got pissed off and some of her last words were "...fucking magic-missle castin mother fucker." The way it was said made be burst out laughing, and I turned my roomate around to read it he starting laughing too.

This game is awesome. Go check it out. For the PC only.

Male, Gangrel right here, I'm in Downtown right now, trying to kill Bishop Vick. He's pretty hard and likes to use Celerity alot, which makes it hard to keep track of him sometimes, and he's packin heat too, so that just makes it more fun.

been an awesome game so far, I'd recomend it to any RPG lover.

Female Malkavian. I'd say it fits me well...

I love the game, it's just SO buggy...

load times and lock-ups and shutdowns OH MY!

yeah, it is pretty buggy, and the patch they relesed doesnt seem to fix much. ><

Hrm im playing a male Ventrue, and ive not really experienced many laggy sequences, there have been 1 or 2, and then last night I actaully made the game crash by clicking on something really quickly repeatadly ; ;

Still a damn fun game.

Malkavians.. man, my roomated beat it and then went through on the female Malkavian right now.. dialog is absolutely priceless.. lmao, them crazy malkavians.

I'm currently in Hollywood and have actually managed to get myself stuck on a mission. I have no other way of obtaining the information from the guy in the SinBin other than paying him $500 to tell me, problem is ive only got $215 on me and simply cannot get any more money in any way. Trust me, ive tried.. and short of selling everything I own (which would be stupid of me to do) I can't get any cash any other way. So later tonight I'm gonna have to look up how to unlock the console and add some cash into my pocket via cheating.. oh well..
