VANG (55RNG/27NIN) omfg

Ok, heres the deal,
After coming home from the movies last night, to unwind from the week. I recieve a Random /tell from Vang. It went something like this:

"Level your sj for god sakes, you lazy excuse for a RNG"(or something along those lines)

There are a few things that come into play here.
1) I am in a static, whos tank is about to leave for 2 weeks, so we all wanted to get to 50 asap, currently i am a 47RNG/18NIN
2) I only party w/ my static and they dont mind if my SJ is underleveled for the next 3 levels.
3) we all planned on leveling SJ, Farming, Genkai and what not for the next 2 lweeks while tank is gone.

I explain this to Vang, but yet he still doesnt comprehend the fact that i know that my SJ is underleveled, and that i am not happy w/ the fact that it is. But yet, he persist on telling me that is the same old excuse from a lazy RNG.
I then precede to tell him that i have a life, and he reply's
"Lol here goes the same old excuse of "Having a life" Nice Fucking Excuse Idiot"
"Same excuse every god damn time from you lazy chumps."


There was other stuff spoken in between ther but im trying to keep this as short as possible.

I then tell him the same thing, but i add that "i am in the armed Forces serving my Country, and i do not have all the time in the world to sit here and play FFXI, thats not all i think about is FFXI, i have other bigger things going on in my life than FFXI."

He also had the nerve to tell me that i am a cocky RNG that thinks everyone wants to party w/ me, i never once said anything like that. And nor was i the one who sends random /tells to randome ppl i dont know, telling them what to do. :roll:

I have never once had a complaint from any one in a Party about anything really, except for one individual lol, and any one that i have partied w/ will tell you that i am a nice guy in game(not that it matters in this case) and a very good RNG w/ top notch gear.

If any one see's me in the wrong for this plz let me know.

He was an ass for sending you a random /tell. If your static is ok with it, do whatever you want, as long as you don't go into a pickup with it.

And please don't use the RL excuse. Everyone has a life. You should have a leveled subjob if you spend 10 hours a day playing, as well as if you spend 2 hours a week. It's party of the game and needs to be done. It's not an excuse, and the simple fact that you brought it up means you think it is an excuse, even if it's not the main reason.

You were both in the wrong, albiet in the same way that Hitler and a litterer are both in the wrong.

Hitler, I mean VANG, is a douche for bringing it up. Unless I'm in a PT that invited you, I wouldn't bring it up. Nor would I invite you with an underlevelled sub if I was PT leader.

You're in the wrong for using the real life excuse. Don't have time to level your sub? Huh. You have time to level your main... Maybe cut into that just a titch to get respectable.

In other words, IMHO (emphasis on the IMHO), you don't have any time to level your main, because you need to use that time to level your sub. ^_^

Thats if you get into pickup parties, if your static doesn't care, neither do I.

AHHH!!! Not Vang!

I remember lvling in Yuhtunga...I was in a party with Vang, and he took us to his "special spot" where "we'd all get tons of xp!"....../sigh

We all died at least once, and got really crappy xp. Not because this was a bad party, but because the place we were at was right by a couple gobbo spawn points! So he'd pull a Mandy and ta-dah! Here comes our friend The Smithy! Anyway...after about an hour of this....Vang tells us he's logging. So him and 1 or 2 other people left, but the rest of us wanted to lvl still....so we get a new puller, new tank and start rolling. We all lvl'd fairly quickly and decided to give his "spot" another try. We get there and start getting gobbos and mandys for decent exp. Now....no more than 20-30 minutes had gone by since we got there when...oh my god! Vang shows up!

All of us in the party are like "Wtf?" and his party starts lvling across the way from us. Pretty soon things started getting heated. Vang starts telling us that we have to leave because "it's his spot and we're just stealing it". Ummm...<Huh?!> So he does this ranting for a good 5 minutes till both parties are having a full out /shout insult war. Besides the fact that it was really funny, I'm sure it was quite annoying for both parties(although he seemed to have gotten some people just as dumb as he was) and the people nearby....

It seems he hasnt changed much...

I just want to know why the fuck people get pissed when people use the "real life excuse". I mean come on if you don't like people with underleveled subs then don't invite them plan an simple, but it doesn't give you the right to bash someone in game just because you think your a "hardcore" gamer. Bullshit the hardcore gamers are the ones that have no "real life" there for they can't use that excuse and it pisses them off to no end. They are more then likely the ones that mommy and daddy pay for them to play the game and shit.

Okay, my take on it is this:

1. We all have RL issues, so one shouldn't make their personal problems (lack of time, AFK, sleepy, what have you) the problems of other people in game.
2. If you have time to level your main, you have time to level your subjob. You just don't get to level your main as high. {That's too bad}. /sea all somebodywhocares, {thank you}!

That's my personal take on it, at least.

Plus what the fuck about those that make through the game without a subjob at all!

They are teh silly. If they're doing it for the challenge, fine by me, but no invite from me either. If they can't or won't get a subjob, then they are fucking stupid.

Like after he sent the first tell, reply with "I'm sorry I couldn't hear you I had a piece of pie in my ear." Repeat silliness until he shuts his mouth.

2 Things
1) Nin sub sucks plain and simple, no abilities, once you have it at 12 your good till lvl 50, then it's time to get that sub to 25 for dual wield. A lotta THF and RNG and WAR sub NIN cause it's a bit safer but in all honsety it doens't do a lot for stats. And Tyrion don't give me shit about this I've compared the diff between and other subs, and nin doesn't do a lot. It was kind of a lazy job on SE parts. But I digress

2) People do NOT and I reapeat NOT make it through the game without a subjob, it's stupid and poitless, there's a trick you can use to remove your subjob.

3) (I know I said 2 but....) The only real reason to sub NIN is dual wield and blink, the NIN blink is pretty weak too, at least Ichi. And Dual wield can let you mod stats nicely but it's mostly about style. This is one of the reasons I haven't ditcthed NIN as a sub....I look too cool. =P

Strongly disagree. As a RNG/NIN Ichi gives me 6 free hits before I take damage. The NIN can usually pull hate back by the time 4 hits pass. This means I am free to cross the hate threshold every 30 seconds with no damage taken. Which means I can deal loads more damage than someone without Ichi.

I take 150-200 damage per hit. Thats a lot of MP saved for the WHM.

Yea Zeng is a dueche, there is NO need to /tell someone who has a subjob you find displeasing unless said person is in your Exp party. in an exp points party I consider myslef mildly forgiing of sub job slipping, anything below 5 lvls or if you are going to mkissiout on a uesful skill/spell I voice my concerns.

I don't know why I do this, but I always post something out of topic of the flame but......here are my thoughts.

First of all; Aldowin, don't let a jerk like Vang get to you. I know that underleveled subjobs are not good, but they wont kill you.

It is always good to get your subjob up every once in awhile. You don't need to gain 5 lvls asap. Just get a lvl every now and then when you are bored. Ninja is really relaxed at lower lvls since you are not really a tank or a DD. Actually I don't really know what Ninja is below 37. I guess just a support tank or something.

Anyway I am getting off topic. Just lvl your subjob whenever you get a chance, otherwise you just got unlucky and some loser who stares at /sea all, all day decided to be a jerk.
