VANG (55RNG/27NIN) omfg

lol you know that has nothing to do with anything, that belongs in my other Vang fan club thread, i have been bouncing back and forth between the 2 all day trying to keep the masses happy that i must of got the threads mixed up.

Nice try, you know that was a simple mistake genius, why are you on your PC? Go level your subjob....

Vang nobody's bitching about your intentions, it's your delivery.

If you look at a lot of the threads on the board, a lot of them are about shitty underleveled subjobs and crap equipment. Yes, not taking the time out of your main job to level a subjob and save up for equipment is shitty. However that being said, everyone has a right to play the game the way they want to and the only thing you can do is not invite them. Running out and doing a /sea all for people with crap equipment and underleveled subs isn't a very effective way to stop them...It's just irritating and undermines all of your intentions of helping crap players turn into good players.

The only thing you can do is not invite them or when you do, find ways of making them think you genuinely want to help them rather than outright attacking them. Starting immature /shout wars and making fun of peoples nationality makes you seem like the noob and really lowers the quality of your argument.

Vang,

The bottom line is that it was wrong of you to randomly call out another player because you thought his subjob was underleveled.

That, sir, was uncool.

Yes but its not cool for him to play a job he obviously cant handle.

Do a sea all Ranger sometime, tell me how many have underleveled subjobs...1 outta 15 maybe? Anyone has been a Ranger for 30 levels or so will realize the pride you get out of that job, i feel its personal when someone trys to make Rangers look like a shitty job and being lazy in general as it makes all Rangers look bad.

Im not saying other jobs dont have pride, I just feel Ranger has the most, in gear and in performance and execution.

vang...you sure seem to be camping this topic, replyng to every single post....

Go outside...

or...go to some DBZ site and touch yourself. I'm guessing you'd like that a bit.

God...nothing like a good flame to keep the day rolling along.^^

Vang, no matter how good YOU are, how good YOUR gear is... someone else's skill and gear...ISN"T YOURS!!! The whole point of this thread isn't your job or gear, it's your attitude. If you don't want to party with people who play this game casually....fine, you have every right to select and choose whom you play with. Just dont attack them, you have absolutely no right to do that. Seriously, this game is for fun, and with over a million people playing...its retarded to expect everyone to be perfect.

Yes, people who don't know how to play(i.e. pulling a pugil through a banshee..yes I've had pullers do that  )can be a big annoyance and I do agree that these people are not the best to party with. There are people who just don't get it, there are people who are asshats, there always have been and always will be in MMORPG's. But it's not your job to call these people out without cause, unless they are directly hampering your gameplay. Just let them play how they want and go on with your game. If you believe that you are a great player, fine, just do it in silence.

Given other people's testimony, obviously you can be a skilled player and do the right stuff. I'm no longer questioning that, but the attitude in which you've responded to these posts and the original situation itself show that your attitude sucks, and negates your skill and gear for many people.

And what's the deal with your "weeding-out" comment. That is a load of shit. I have met and either partied with, helped, or gotten help from a bunch of people who have posted. All of them are amazing players who play this game just as well if not better than you Vang. Generalizations like that are the kind of comments that piss people off and do nothing to help you.

*yawn*

This post got old...like 6 pages ago.

Lets all move on shall we?

LOL you know what is funny?

One small and stupid action that Vang decided to make totally destroyed his chances of getting a pt or even being recognized by anyone (at least on this forum).

Now Vang, before I get branded as a hypocrite, I am not saying it is the end of the world that some strangers in an online game are mad at you, but isn't it ironic that some stupid /tell that you decided to send resulted in this eruption of hate?

Funny how this thread displays true human nature, thank God we live in the civilized world we live in today......

I'd have to disagree with this somewhat. ALthough I do not like Vang's personality due to way he handled being flamed (because he initially freaked out instead of initially responded with some civilized responses), I wouldn't object to partying with him.

This is based soley on my encounter with Roofie. You can be a jerk on the board, but still a good player. I am no way condoning Vang's behaviour on the board though. I really don't see the need for the arrogance and god complex. You can be a great player and still be respectful towards other players. It's all about the respect.

Like I said before, hate me in Jeuno....love me in our hunting zone.

Its that simple. You dont have to invite me because of my attitude, I wont mind, I promise. But if you would consider inviting a 55 RGN/18 NIN over me and my leveled subjob and no nonsense xping attitude, well then to each his own....

Im really not scared or threatened at all that a handful on Quetzy wont party with me, or spread the word to their LS about Vang the meanie...there are plenty of people to party with. If you blacklist me because of my beliefs on not playing lazy, good, thats what I want. If you blacklist me because of my attitude, well once again to each his own I wont cry about it ^^.

Yeah I think I kinda goofed up there.

I have forced myself to pty with many jerks before, in an effort to get crucial exp.

Yeah pretty much disregard my last post.
You must be an AWSOME ranger vang, <That's too bad> about this whole thread though. I don't hate you. If I see you in a pt that I get invited to you and me will probably laugh.

Oh well....wednesday night, here I come FFXI!

just to point out. He has a static. And he stated previously that his PLD was going away for 2weeks i believe it was. and in this time he would be leveling his subjob.

Cause if his static doesnt care why should he?

In any case, you should be HAPPY his sub is underleveled in his static. Why?

Because if it matters as much as you claim it does at that level to a RNG, his party won't be getting NEAR the EXP as your party is capable of if they're camping next to you in a high-competition spot. They won't kill as fast because of his poor subjob, theoretically giving you the opportunity to pull more mobs in since you have a better NIN subjob, right?

Who cares if another Ranger is "making your job look bad". You make the human race look bad everytime you type on this board.

Well, Vang...

Your attitude is obviously getting you nowhere. I, too, love to maximize my EXP sessions. I also love to have great gear, and a leveled subjob. I in no way, however, feel that it's necessary to call other people out (especially strangers) for a subjob that's underleveled. And here's my take on RNG gear... which I really don't understand, and will probably get massively flamed for this, but I just don't give a fuck.

-Emperor's Hairpin. +3 AGI, and +10 EVA is nice too. (+3 DEX, but... honestly, how much will that matter with the -ACC on your Racc rings, that is if you're not using Sniper Rings, or you don't have gear-swap macros to bring in your +RACC rings for your DEX/STR rings everytime you shoot, but I bet no rangers do this as it isn't as rewarding as the gear-swap macro would be to a job like SAM or WAR or NIN or whatnot)

-Leaping Boots. +3 AGI, and another +3 DEX that just doesn't matter all that much in what a RNG's job is. You might hit once more per fight with your daggers in close combat with the +6 dex. Congrats!

Together, I believe the cost for those items are something around 600-700k RIGHT NOW on the AH.

Now, look at the alternatives.

Noct Beret +1. +2 AGI. Probably costs around 50k, hell, maybe even far less. I've never looked at the price of one of these things. You lose 10 Evasion, which I think is a much much bigger blow than 1 point of AGI.

Bastokan/Republic Greaves: +1 AGI, In areas in your nation's control, +3/4 ACC, +3/4 RACC... I think the Republics go for around 50k or so. Probably more. I'll take POSSIBILITY of +4 RACC over the 2 AGI and meaningless +3 DEX for a RNG anyday.

So, you're paying 600k or so for 3 AGI, 10 Evasion, and 6 DEX (which is basically meaningless for a RNG.) The Evasion is nice when your shadows go down... but... if you're pulling THAT much hate, the RNG should learn about aggro control or it's time to get a new tank. 3 points of AGI are NOT going to make or break a RNG. You know what does?

The best possible Bow/Gun/Xbow and the best Ammo you can find for your current level. The 600k you save on 3 AGI and 10 Evasion can put to use elsewhere. Hell, if you people DO think +2 AGI and +2 Dex lost from leveling your NIN sub for RNG matters THAT much, then I better see you same people using the Emperor's Hairpin and Leaping Boots and would expect you NOT to criticize others if they don't meet up to your standards.

Hell, the job that benefits most from the Leaping Boots is THF. That's hands-down, and you can EASILY see the difference between a THF who is using them and a THF who isn't (in SATA damage). The difference between the boots on a RNG and a RNG who isn't wearing them is so negligable it's laughable. The Hairpin is excellent for Thieves, but you don't see as many results for the Pin for the Ranger... although I really truly believe the +10 evasion is the absolute best thing about this piece of gear for any job other than THF.

There you go, the idiot BLM spoutin' off on a job he's only taken to 21, for those of you who like to say that "if you don't play a job to X level, you don't know jack about said job". Well, I have a fucking brain, and I know how to figure shit out. Common sense tells me that 3 AGI and 6 DEX isn't giong to make or break a RNG. Even less the +2 AGI and +2 DEX the Original Poster loses out on having an underleveled subjob. Job traits and abilities are the #1 reason to have a sub. The stats are just a nice convenience.

You want to keep going dumbfuck? You wanna keep spouting shit out and hugging my nuts? Nice guide on Ranger your schmuck, dont tell anyone about Ranger, you know nothing...Ask any Ranger, we feed off of Agility, Leaping boots and Pin is +6 agilility you cant argue that and saying they are only important to thfs just shows you should learn to keep your mouth shut kiddo.

I dont go shouting about Blm and my advice on that job and I have blm to 19 which is close to your 21 in Ranger, so kindly stfu you have proven nothing except your an idiot.

But Decidence had the best gear a rng could buy, check the seller list, i think hes still on the buy list for peacock charm etc, eurytos bow, all the good stuff. And you know what the most common comment about him was in pts looking for a ranger? Decidence? hes not a ranger, hes an asshat in a ranger suit. Attitude = reputation, get over yourself kid.
that is all

Sure I got on a lot of peoples bad sides and in the end the addiction for having the best stuff and spending hours upon hours making the money to maintain this addiction eventually drove me away from the game for a few months.

But this quote makes me out to sound like I was a bad ranger... and I do take a little offense to this. I don't want to sound cocky and hopefully I don't come off that way because I don't even play the job anymore, nor have all that gear, however almost every PT post 60 complimented me on being one of the best Rangers they know, and I still have people asking me to go back to Ranger to play with them at higher levels.

I do agree with you that reputation means a lot in this game and having a bad attitude will do you no good service in the long run, but on the same side of the coin I really could care less because you will find out in due time yourself.

Being aggressive and cocky and a "know-it-all" got me the bad reputation I had (and maybe still have lingering with some people) before I took a break from this game, however since coming back I have changed my outlook a lot and hope people recognize this and realize people can change.

Just play the game and have fun and don't try to play the game for other people. Unless your in a PT with them there in no reason to be giving people unwanted advice or telling them how to play... it's not affecting you.

Read my post.

Last time I checked.. +RACC > +AGI any time.

Why the hell would I have to play RNG for 50 levels to figure that out?

I didn't say the pin was bad for RNG. I said it's not necessary, and they are best utilized on THFs.

What I question is your reading comprehension, which has already been called out in either this topic or another by you. If calling me "kiddo" and saying that I'm "hugging your nuts" (whatever the fuck that means) makes you feel better, go for it.

Oh, by the way... I'd much rather have +3 AGI and +4 RACC for 1/6th the price of +6 AGI and +10 Evasion if I'm playing a job based on ranged combat. Most important thing for a ranger anyway is maxed out RACC and the best Bow/Gun/Xbow with the best ammo you can have. Disagree with THAT. :P

Still don't understand how the 3 AGI you gain with your gear choices is going to make you get more EXP an hour and make you more deserving of a party over another Ranger with the gear that I described. Maybe you should try my setup sometime. YOu might be pleased with the results, and hell, be 600k closer to that E-Bow. Pull your head out of your ass.

Oh, and people who have never touched BLM can give even well-leveled BLM's sound advice. You can learn from watching other people play, and well, using your FUCKING BRAIN. I know I could play an excellent DRK, because I've seen Jobe in action, and a few other DRK that play their jobs very well. I know what to do from watching...

No wonder you're so hated. Unprovoked calling of names isn't really a great way to make friends, you piece of shit. ^^
