Honestly Shizia, what do you expect?

I hold nothing against you because you have wronged me in no way, but I honestly fear for your ability to socialize with people.
I can see beneath all the shouting and anger that you genuinely feel as if
you are being wronged on a daily basis. The best way to get this across and to make yourself heard positively is to properly present your case, and have a little bit fact to go on before you start with caps and swearing, shouting etc.
Also, its probably not a good idea to come to the Flameboard and post right after one of your in game issues, all full of piss and vinegar.
A post like this is raw meat for starving wolves, and will insure the responses that you have seen.

I normally derive great amusement from posts like these, however, I honestly fear you have some serious issues going on in your head that require attention.

We've got yet another flame posted by someone who seems to have proven time and time again that they like to pick fights and have some kind of chip on thier shoulder. We know its fun to flame Vang because he responds and it riles everyone up blah blah blah ie: thegrimnova. But simply stating that so-and-so is the liar, and not your self... is very self defeating in trying to shift the blame.

Ummm, that's all we've ever asked of anyone. But if you're so "sick of being nice" then that's probably not going to happen. All I can say is, enjoy the game with people if you still can. But I certainly wouldn't consider myself a part of this community anymore.


P.S. If you really want to flame someone, it's best to have proof. If you're going to say "So and so said this and you should hate them too" then have something more to back it up. Especially when it's coming from you, you really have made it so you don't have a leg to stand on. And you've done this to yourself, so don't complain.

This situation is where the Bradey Guide comes in handy. The next time you feel angry in the game, pick up your guide and throw it at a wall. If you do this correctly then you will get a satisfying "thwap" "thump" or "slap". Try it sometimes, it works better than making this post.

You know i've noticed that flames are actually more effective when they...
A) Include some form of punctuation. <~~see that thing? <~~(and that) punctuation. moer that !!!'s exist, there are comma's apostrophees and other such things out there to make these letters into sentences.... And English....
B) Use lower case letters <~~examples that way~~> in addition to the capitalized ones (such as)~~>Having all caps leaves you unable to accenuate any particularly important points without the notes from part C... All lower case is only marginally better.... If at all
C) Use the features of the word processing engine to their full extent. The good people who designed this posting system added many extra lines of code so you could were you of mind to do so use Italisized, bold or even underlining to emphasize and points without looking dumb by having a big string of capital letters (which shouldn't exist out of titles really) LIKE THIS. Note that there is no word though there may be a few accronyms that call for multiple capital letters in a row.
D) They use grammar. Grammar is a very useful tool in speaking or typing the English language. It allows you to convey thoughts in smaller packets of information, makes you look sophisticated and even makes it the object of the flame look less intelligent (look! bold again!) just because someone so well-written is flaming them.
E) they are written by people with IQ's higher than those of the surrounding furniture.

Thank you to everyone who has helped point out the errors of the poster's posts (bad grammar but meh...) and giving me material to study on how to make a flame post successful.... Particularly Excim in this instance.

I would ask you, Micah to please never post here again just based on the fact exposure to you, your writing and people such as yourself lower the IQs of the people who read or interact there with...

Go die alone with all your friends. :D (try and imagine the amount of coding it takes to write that sentence, i'm not even gonna go into size for emphasis)

FYI: Leaping boots were not 20K ever.
In the first four days I got the game I went to Jeuno and at the time I was looking at 'Cool Stuff to have'. I Checked the AH for things and realized I wanted a pair of Leaping boots, A Traveler's Mantle, Beestinger, and a Rabbit Charm. I did not know there were such things as Notorious Monsters. And Asked a lot of people if they knew how to get them. When I got to Jeuno I checked the prices on said items:

Mind you this is four day after the U.S. Release, two of which were spent on another server before I could switch to the ~Q~

Leaping Boots: 155,000 G
Rabbit Charm: 120,000 G
Traveler's Mantle: 15,000 G
Beestinger: 10,000 G

My wallet: 123 Gil. (I remember the number well... 123)

Anyways, It was said in passing here I just wanted to say.

Btw: on a side note: It was really fun telling my LS at the time all the cool stuff there was in the auction house that they had never even heard of. One of which being: Thief Knife, three sales, one for 3,000,000 G, for 2,500,000 G, and last one was for 4,500,000 G. I knew at that point two things: 1) I wanted a Thief Knife, 2) There has to have been a super easy way to make money somone hasn't figured out.

hell, i was with a WHM buddy of mine one day in Jeuno

I see Shizia bitching about a Tele-Vazhl... and i felt sorry for the guy... and also wanted him to shut up :/. I asked my WHM buddy to tele him and whoever he was with.. and sent a tell telling him i had him a tele... and he continued to bitch in shouts..

Shizia.... you really want people to respect you? then learn to respect others and yourself man. Mages are going to charge what they want for a tele, that's there perrogitive, your just going to have to deal with it, just like we all do. And if they didnt charge for a tele... then TAKE THE GOD DAMN FREE TELE! duh


This isn't rocket science.... it's gaming....
 
Shizia I got nothing against you but let me try to give you my opinion on why you are paying 3-4k for a tele. If I'm correct your the person that was using the /shout over and over and over for like 4 days right? Well if that is indeed you then maybe alot of people /blist you thereby when you shout for tele not many people hear you. So basically what I mean is alot of the mages that would tele for 500-1000 have you /blist and can't see your shouts.

Again just my 2 gil and it may not even be worth that much. :lol:
