I agree with what Vang says because he does have a point. People just hate him because he has money. Why hate when he put the time and effort into it, not like he bought gil. If he bought gil and flaunted uber eq and riches, then i would understand people having something against him. But the fact is, Vang put EFFORT into making his fortune, and people are just angry at him because they are jealous.
Vang normally argues about how Equipment is important and thats true. No matter how good of a player you are if you have crappy gear your "personal skill" wil only take you so far. Honestly how HARD is it to learn how to play FFXI well? lol...
Prime example of how Equipment takes precidence over skill at a certain part? Lets take a samurai for example. So the main attribute of a Samurai is creating skillchains and knowing what skillchains are appropriate right? Okay so lets say "Jim" is a samurai and he knows all his skillchains by heart, and offers advice and maximizes his group by providing the best skillchain. Jim posesses max skill for his job, and he knows how to play it efficiently. BUT!... Jim has crappy gear and is using NQ dex rings instead of snipers and does not have a haubergneon at level 60. Because of this, Jim cannot accumulate TP fast enough to keep up with the skillchains that he needs to start/finish. In addition, Jim seems to miss his weaponskill a lot which prevents a skillchain from happening and in addition, causes the party to lose out on a chance to MB.
