WTH is up with all of these board trolls and post whores trying to crawl up Vang's arse? I mean, yeah, he's got some good ideas and now and then he even makes sense...then again so does Anna Nicole Smith but I don't want to crawl up her butt.

The original flaming of Vang actually started this way. A thread full of posters saying, "Well Vang, you're a great player, and I like you ingame..." or "I don't know you Vang" followed by: "BUT OMG EVERYONE ON THIS BOARD SAYS YOU SUCK, SO I HATE YOU YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!!"
 
I do it as satire actually.

I think of Vang as that little voice in the back of my head that tells me to kill.

As much of a prick the little cocksucker is, yes, he does make probably the most sense out of anyone bitching. His rants are educated and actually informative once you pass it through an angst filter.

Vang and I have butted heads on numerous occasions, I gave him shit for being a powerleveled n00b, and he gave me shit for having an underleveled sub, I gave him shit for wearign women's clothing, he gave me shit for playing a female character, I corrected him that yes, prison sex 'counts' as gay sex, and promised not to mention of his stay in an Indiana state penetentary, and he in turn assured me that having sex with the pope for publicity was a bad Idea and I should keep my mouth shut about the whole thing.

None-the-less... He really is a nice guy when sedated. And never once in an actual in game argument, or on a board, make fun of either his spelling or his grammer. To be in a wit-war with somone that has wits is a delicacy in my little world.

One of the reasons I kinda feel bad for digging into Wolf so much. Where arguing with Vang basically equates to dining on a perfectly prepared Tri-Tip roast and all the fixins, wolf is but a soggy french fry I found under my car seat.

KK I have not issue with this..but now it's like - - he's fucking spiderman (sig fits)..and although the establishment still labels him this elitist prick, he's got this decipleship...

I've seen like - maybe 2 actual posts in all of these threads that ACTUALLY make a point about something real. I.e. someone has actually pt'd with him, someone actually finds a serious flaw in his arguement..the rest of it is bandwagoneers (sp = purposeful) or Quetzy cheerleaders going off about how nice this guy is.

I will admit it right now. I REALLY HAVE NO FUCKING OPINION. I don't know him, never partied with him, hell, have never even run into him in game. I think his attitude is annoying at times but there are others that piss me off a lot more - but at least I can admit.....

THIS WHOLE THREAD HAS NO REAL POINT.

Ahh the thread that started it all....ya know, 95% of the people that agree with me whole heartedly now were quick to bash me in that thread. I really don't know what I have done different since then to have everyone make a 180 turn on how they feel but my guess is this.


It's almost like high school, the people were just going with the flow bashing me in that thread or in Jeuno shouts until they woke up and realized what I was all about. Trust me, there are plenty of posters here that have sent me tells apologizing, and saying that they now understand and respect my point of view.

Now I am not trying to get on a cross here, because it's common sense that gimped players = no fun for the rest of the group . Im not saying anything new, but what I am doing is preventing them from leveling (with me, at least) until they do something about it unlike most of you. Whether it be to better their gear or to level their subjob.

Often times on my LS chat i hear one of my guys say "Oh god, im in yhotar with a fucking 27 rdm /07 war sheesh this party is gonna suck" which I am sure you have all done as well. The difference with me is, I have never said that. Because I will not party with that, nor will I be quiet and not say something to that waste of a character. It is not funny to me that someone thinks they can half ass leech their way to 75 like that while the rest of us work our tails off for the good of the group.

(Ok i will admit the MNK/RDM i saw when i did a /sea all mnk who was in the crawlers nest was funny)

To top it all off now I have all these old crusty "established" players demanding respect. They will get none. Do I want to be in a HNMLS at 70? Hell yes I do, don't get me wrong, but just because you gimped your way to 75 the fastest means jack shit to me. I think some of you know who I am talking about. Thankfully he is on the right track now that he accepted my offer to be Vangs fan club president ^^. Anyone can make it to 75, but not everyone can make it to 75 with style. 8)

One of my best friends in game was telling me the story of the first NA on quetzy to hit 75, that person did it as a BLM. My friend who is also a BLM used to "look up" to this person and ask them for gear advice and such. Until one day my friend actually had a chance to look at this level 75's gear only to find out that my friend was equipped much better than him.

Slow down. Stop hurting your party members. Stop being a moron for once in your life. This game is not rocket science.

the 1st NA on our server to 75 was not a blm. Just thought id let you know. I could tell you who and what job they actually were, but why bother. I was around, you werent. "old crusty" players demanding respect? they "gimp-raced their way to 75"? dunno who youre talking about, maybe its true in a specific instance, but kid, ive got a sandorian bandana on my mule thats been playing this game longer than you. Bought it 1 month after the game came out. 1 month of playing. lvl 15. more than a year of playing, lvl 46 highest job. Now, when i was a samurai vang, a lvl 40ish one, i was grouping with people who made me stop grouping, people like Magyst and Ninjalady, people who couldnt achieve. Anything. Outdated gear, whm sub on a thf, etc. this was maybe february, march perhaps. YOU were not around. You were not a ranger, a warrior, or anything. that was a long time ago. those people are all long since 75, and they still suck. But that is plenty of time to get to 75 in a legitimate fashion. let me tell you a story about the 1st na ranger to 75, who HAD an ebow which he mined for 2 months for, HAD woodworking in the low 90's, made his own firestaff for giggles (back before you could sign it), and once told a rng who asked him about fang vs silver arrows "they didnt have fang arrows when i was that lvl." Is that gimping your way to 75? Alt had been playing since NA release, and dinged 75 almost 7ish months into it or so. the other NAs at 75 are by and large the same way, as almost all of the 1st crop (lagantis, nnep, aurorine) have quit, its now down to the 2nd crop, the ones who took their damn time and learned things. Vang, what you need to understand, is that there are people whove been playing a long time and are high lvl, and then there are people who just, as you said, "gimped" their way to 75. But you come out of the gate like if youre 75 it means you rushed. Some of them did. the "newbloods". But a year and 3 months this games been out, and some of the people talking to you have been playing that whole time.
With that demarcation firmly in mind, i have been horrified lately to witness some of the performance of the most recent crop of 75's. they suck. end of story. A blm in shrine of ruavitu who RAN AWAY from a weapon when her MB turned it, not only costing chain 6 but chain 5 as well, a generation of people so bloody clueless that they LOST to hakutaku. Not called help, not mistakenly imploded, LOST fair and square. As i said in another thread, i have a suspicion that these people are chinese. It may comfort you to know vang that the Real 75's, the ones who earned it, feel the same way you do about them. /disgust.

Oh, as for the kingdom bandana: i wanted one ; ; But there were none up, so i bought kingdom gloves and a sandy bandana, and blew the rest of my equipment money on bone +1 bits and a new fishing rod. Back in the day, you really Could go to the dunes in all HQ gear and reasonably expect not to feel that you wasted your money on nooblets. Tip for beginners here: SOLO TO lvl 16. You will be rolling in cash. "but its too hard! i even subbed whm and its so slooooooow". i did it as a thf with no sub. You just lazy, then, you start in on the "ive got no money" stuff.
you missed the prime money making lvls my friend, lvl 7-16, where you can solo easily on tons of EP mobs and rake in the crystals, sleepshrooms, seeds, etc. learn early and keep yo ass out the dunes till at least lvl 15. tyvm.

I was in a fucken 57-58 PT with a RDM who lacked Haste... I have seen more then one Taru BLM with only ICE STAFF!! NOT EVEN THE +1 or just Dark Staff (which if you have MP it is mandatory, end of discussion), but NOOO only Ice staff, do a /sea all Martuf and you will find a 65? BLM with just Ice as well.... WTF?! Seeing stupid dicks like this that ruin my night because we can barely pull of 3k an hour pisses me off.

For me the straw that broke the camels back was Taylorfw, if you know me in game at all you know that I take WHM VERY seriuesly. I like to think my gear is not exactly top notch (Check Tiya for that sorta thing) but pretty damn good none-the-less. To see a 53 WHM wearing the lvl one gloves made my teeth grind, the bile was actualy rising in my throat. Here I was busting my ass to have amazing gear and to know my job damn well and some lil turd lvls up past me (he is higher then me now I bet) in a matter of 3 monthsish. All because he has a high demand job and will party for endless hours in shit groups. And if any of you say it is the skill that matters... I had the "pleasure" of partying with him in the Promyvion runs... The only reason we won holla and Dem is cause my bro (Jonason) Johnnyb and I were basicaly hauling ass, the other 2 were rangers and do damn fine jobs, I woulda been nuking the bastard but I ended up curing more often then not. We get to Mea with just 5 ppl, and we coulda won, but this kid does not realize that benediction has a limited area, so he uses it in what lil corner he was hiding in. The others die as this thing is one hit away, it starts walking towards him adn he runs TOWARDS me as start casting my spell to finish this guy off. He dies in 2 hits (Did I mention he has some of the shitiest gear I have EVER seen) and the thing is now right by me, inurupts my spell and I am done. >.< We go back with 2 real WHMs when our 2 hours recharge (Alanon and Daryus) and basicaly PLOW through it.
