How exactly do Vanish and Vanishga work? So far they've been useless in helping me in avoiding enemies.

I don't know what I need to do to sneak around enemies successfully with them >.>
 
Regardless, I ran into Nabudis aggroing everything and managed to get the Zodiac Spear...Huzzah!
 
I just found that place last night XD been screwing around killing stuff :P level 37 to level 44 (almost 45) XD and I still need to figure out vanish :|
 
I was lvl 30 when I entered for the zodiac spear :| I got a few people mauled on my way out
 
I didn't get to it until about level 35ish cause I hadn't beaten bomb king XD he's a bitch and a half at level 30 with very few ethers, no quickenings, and he keeps renewing :P

I did find this hidden spot in the deadlands and it had a guy that dropped Save The Queen :3 it's nice.. Basch is pwning, kicking ass, and taking names with it :D
 
I gave up on killing him normally and quickeninged him to death at lvl 30. Fuck renew.
 
XD renew sure was a bitch :P I can't wait until I can use that spell though :D
 
Renew is a usable spell?
 
yup :P it is a usable spell, the ultimate white mage spell it seems :D hehe.. and I was visiting that place when I was supposed to be going to that mountain temple place XD the one right after the dragons in that p.pass place
 
So no one knows how Vanish works? >.>
 
I know when I was blitzing my way through Nabudis while Vanish'ed, things seemed to stop following me faster than usual... Maybe that was just me. If you ask me, it's less of a spell to avoid being seen, and more a spell to avoid being seen as long.

On another topic, why is Stop so crappy? I only use it while running around really low-level zones freezing random critters while sidequesting because I can't seem to get it to stick to anything important. Should I be browbeating Penelo or is it just that useless?
 
In theory... would Float + Vanish work?

Float so mobs wouldn't hear your footsteps and Vanish for.. obvious reasons.

Can anyone test?

Why, you're supposed to cast it on mobs and then cast Doom on them, of course!

Because everything thats immune to Vanish isnt immune to Doom, and Vice Versa!

That was from what, FFV?
 
I believe that was the old FFVI tactic/cheat you could use to basically kill anything, but I thought it was vanish to xzone.
