Support vB 4.0 upgrade/errors

Good day,

As i said in the other thread, I will be updating the forums to match closely the functions we've had in 3.8. Some are not available but should be in time. If you have any issues that need to be addressed you can either PM myself or reply to this thread.

Currently the two things I'm trying to fix are:

  • Worksafe Theme
  • Smilie Images
  • Jobs/Server banners
 
Worksafe should be up and running and okay. If there's anything that still needs to be taken out or there are errors please contact me ASAP.
 
Thanks and nice job! Are we doing away with the helpful post things or am I just not seeing them?
 
Several products did not make their way over to vB 4.0 as they are not compatible. Right now it's all about finding the products again and reinstalling them.
 
I don't know if it's something you can fix, but I noticed the 'Go to first unread post' button doesn't work. It only takes you to the top of the page the first unread post is on.
 
I'm not having that issue...is this on social groups or regular forums?
 
Are the old skins gonna come back? :( so bright ><

I've gotta look into this further, I think I can get them to do what they are supposed to. But for now, I sleep.

On the home screen it doesnt show me all the forums, it shows me the page as if i were logged off, i have to manually go through other forums then hit home for it to recognize that im logged on. Clicking login after entering my info brings me back to the page as if i hadnt logged on. Small problem but just kind of annoying

I'm sorry I can't see anything anyone posted, my eyes are too busy being assaulted by brightness. O.O

I really hope we can have the Halloween theme back, omg.. so bright.

Have you tried clearing cache and cookies?

I'm having this same problem. I'm having to clear my cookies very frequently. Just now, i've only visited this site and a few others within the last 2hours from the last time I cleared my cookies, and I had to do it again in order to login. Is this a setting with the internet browser? Or is it site related? I have no clue what deleting cookies entails, but i've never had to delete them everytime I visited a site just to be able to login, pretty frustrating.

I currently use Google Chrome if that helps.
 
I just threw up a half finished nightshift for people who cannot deal with the brightness of the default style. I'm going to have to talk to Reeve about the login issue.
