Eh, maybe I shouldn't be posting this? But I dunno, I'm kinda getting a sore eye from seeing this guy constantly camp Mee Deegi. I'm pretty sure for any one who's camped there has noticed he Flee's insantly to Mee's location regardless to where he's in the room. And I just find it really strange that he hasn't been banned/jailed/etc.(Although from what someone told me the other night his partner Pyiohnr or something (a Mithra) got sent to jail/banned. )


So is there any thing that can be done at all? It seems like calling a GM would just be a waste of time....

Yeah this guy deffinatly bots. I've even done a few tests while camping Mee Deggi myself. The best thing is when he flees, vokes, claims and then stands there for about 6-10 hits before he even pulls out his weapon. Everyone report him to GMs. Get this cocksucker off our server.
 
Yeah, I hear that. I went to camp Mee Degi for the first time these past couple of days, hoping to get the kote for my NIN. I stayed for 5 pops over the course of two days, and whatever bot he's using must be pretty nice. I mean, the last pop that sent me over the edge, Mee popped right next to me, and I tab over with provoke already selected. 'Yay,' I'm thinking, 'I finally got a claim.'

Heh, no.

Vebreaubent is literally on the other side of the room, far enough away I don't even see him activate flee in my log, far enough away he couldn't have even seen Mee Degi (much less the fact that the giant pillar thing was in the way). But yeah, he got claim.

Other campers were referring to him as a bot when I first got there, but I figured it was just a case of people being sore over not being able to outclaim him. Now, though, I'm absolutly convinced that he's using some third party app. I mean, there's absolutly no way to activate flee just before pop (and only just before pop) and head unerring for Mee Degi.

I would've called GM and maybe seen if they could be there around the next pop time to see just what was going on, but I had to head for work after that. Oh, well. Maybe next time.
 
Yup that's pretty much it. You can't even find it that fast if you are the best user of widescan in the world. That is the best thing though that you brought up. He only uses flee when Mee deggi pops. Just watch him, even if Mee deggi spawns right on top of him he'll still flee before voking. It's amazing that he's been there for about 1.5 to 2 months now and is still able to operate.
 
I say stop wasting your time on getting them out. And if you do,there going to bring more backup. So basically it's a waste to call GM. Focus on beating them and stop crying.
 
god theres always botters at these camps. freakin always. im like 0/??? on Mee and 0/9 atleast on Quu, and ive always had to beat out sellers. or botters. or something. i thought with this new spawn window i'd have a chance. Nope. i tried once already and this bot... i swear.

And also. a friend of mine Chinis has been there for the last couple of days, i think he was there literally ALL day yesterday, and he only got one claim on that bot. How do you ask? Quu spawned in the middle of a few other yags, and when the bot voked, he got links and died (lol, and Chin got drop, too)

So basically, its at this point i cry that my link-->hide by the sellers on my Thf doesnt work anymore =\

He should of told them he'd stop reporting when they started to do something.

him and his little buddy have done it to me before. i heard him hit flee. then i watched where he was goin. he stopped about 2 secs later mee popped right in front of him. se is a bullshit company for letting this stuff go on. they want people to play the game and have fun but its no fun when you cant camp something you want/need without some other asshole cheating.
 
If someone ever gets claim, they should drag Deggi behind one of the upper-level doors so the bot gets stuck there. (i.e. the Earth Doublet room)

They sent me an automated response >< lol something along the lines of... "Please stop reporting this player as we are already looking into it."
And i didn't get the drop from when he died, Oracant got claim on that, no drop. I got drop from the spawn after that :P
 
Solution: Ignore Ochiudo's and get Ogygos' Bracelets. Only way to drive RMT/Botters out of the area is to never buy the item.
 
And the fact that Blazn just thanked you makes it an even more stupid post. Stop telling people to give up and go for the next best thing.

Getting back on topic. The only way you can really outclaim them is if he pops next to you and you claim w/ steal, that's the only way I've been able to. I think GMs are waaaay too lazy. The one day i flipped i had gotten one claim. They send me hate tells in chinese; then, of course, next pop they warp across the room and get claim. I call a GM and start saying "China {Too weak.}" and stuff like that in tells to them. Low and behold, they call a GM on me for the tells and i get a 72hr suspension for harassment, 1st offence btw. But, i struck back! Now a days, i just fuck em' over in lower jeuno! ^^

Fine, deal with RMT if you don't want to help prevent it. And Blazn thanks everything, just ignore him. Obviously you're fed up with them, yet don't want to do shit about it. Nothing I hate more than people with that kind of attitude. If you aren't going to do anything to fix the problem, keep your mouth shut about them. No reason to complain about it if you aren't doing anything to fight it.

Good job with the attack for no reason though, Sev.

There are few things we, as a community, can do about RMT problem.

You can either:

A.) Ignore them and just keep on camping. Eventually, one day, you will beat them to claim and hope you get the drop. More power to you.

B.) Ignore them and just not buy the items they are selling. Find some people that trust you that aren't using their O.Kote or M.Signa and ask to borrow it. Most people will be happy to do so.

C.) Resign yourself to not having the best gear money can buy. I don't have the best and brightest gear money can buy, most of the time even my high-end gear is out on loan to various people in my LS. Why? Because I can get by without having it being the level I'm at, unfortunately because of the player community they can't easily slip by with their gear.

Cannon gear (gear that you should have at certain levels, i.e. Scorp Harness for MNKs at level 57+) is what tears the community and friends and potential parties apart.

Just keep reporting bots/gilsellers to the GM system. That's the only thing we can do. Or you can send them racist tells and hope that you don't get suspended. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

Today was a beautiful day. I got Mee Deggi. Twice. Veb was banned, so here I am camping Quu. I do a /sea, and guess who? Pyoih. /sigh
