Too bad it's not.

That monocle pop, someone in the VGcats office must read Something Awful, if not all of them.

I've seen inuyasha, it is dragonball Z for girls.

In fact I could only sit down and watch 2 anime series all the way through; Trigun, and Evangelion. Trigun was kiddy then got very dark, cool, badass, I could go on about how that series closes out. Evangelion is just so much more than a cartoon, but if you haven't seen Eva yet, your not going to anyway.

EVA is a horribly mis-construed(sp) view of the christian religion...but it's still good none the less >.>

So Evangelion taking the basic ideas behind chrisitianity (God, Jesus, Adam & Eve, etc) and giving its own interpretation of them is something other than artistic license?

I'm not sure if that's sarcasm or not but that's basically how all these seperate churches got started. Someone interpreting a few lines, or a book in the bible differently is how these seperate denominations began. Mai, you've always struck me as rather intelligent, so I'm guessing that's sarcasm or I just read it wrong.

Hahaha, serious!


And Eva....was a good series, but not something that should be watched in an entire day. I was sick home from school one day last year, and popped in the entire series that a friend let me borrow. By nightfall as I ejected the last DVD from my PS2, I felt like killing myself, lol.

lol, Eva is one of the "Brainbreaker" Anime's. Right up there with Akira.
 
I remember someone linking a post on a forum of a Christian website. The woman said she bought her son the Evangelion series because she thought it was just a cartoon. Then one day she came home and found him trying to hang himself with a necktie.

I see two points to be focused on in that:

1) See? That thing can depress you.

2) It obviously makes use less intelligent. Necktie? Come on. Unless that fabric was made of the same material used in rock climbing....he wasn't gonna die anytime soon...


....just severe brain damage over the next 5-6 hours as he hung there. :banghead3:
