While searching for another article, I happened upon this little jewel:

BEIJING - Officials at the Beijing Zoo are considering changes to keep visitors away from Gu Gu the panda.

For the third time, the panda has attacked a visitor who climbed into its space. Officials say a man climbed a nearly five foot barrier to retrieve a toy dropped by his 5-year-old son.

A spokeswoman says Gu Gu, which weighs 240 pounds, clamped down on the intruder's leg and refused to let go. Zookeepers had to use tools to pry open the animal's jaws. The victim suffered damage to major ligaments and is recovering from surgery.

In October, Gu Gu bit a teen intruder. And in 2007, he bit a drunken tourist who jumped into his pen and tried to hug him. The tourist retaliated by biting the bear in the back.

Is this fence around the pandas enclosure made of chain link and about 3' high? ITS A BEAR! DO NOT CLIMB IN TO GET THE TOY, TO HUG OR BE NEAR..... THE BEAR.

Tugg Speedman knows all about the dangers of Pandas.

I love stuff like this. Headline reads "Viscious Panda" instead of "Moron Zoo Patron." People can be so stupid sometimes, I am always amazed. Maybe they need to hang signs that say: This zoo is not responsible if you are stupid enough to enter this exhibit and this animal chews your face off.

I have to admit. I commend the drunk guy that climbed in to give the panda a hug, for biting it back after he got his ass kicked by the bear. That's hilarious.

Honestly now, " I can't believe I got attacked by a shark, I was only swimming in the ocean" ..

When are people going to learn, you can't blame the animals for being animals. You can't blame them for feeling the need to defend when you've imposed on their habitat.

Who are the more intelligent beings??

lol Too funny. Same has happened quite often with Polar BEARS. Yes, they look cute, sometimes cuddly, but there is a fence and a warning sign there for a REASON. People who climb the fence to get a closer picture... see that awesome funtion on your camera? It's called "zoom in", use it.

And to comment on Cheebs... so so true. "I don't know why the shark attacked me". :dur: ?
