Firstly this is a longish post with some history involved. I get to the point eventually.
Ok I am not sure how much you guys know of Gusgen Mines, you mine their obviously and it used to be my favorite mining spot. Turn some music on and aimlessly mine for hours on end. It aint the profit of some of these NMs, one Argus drop makes it look like a joke... But I still made a respectable amount of gil and enjoyed it.
Tusk: The Galkan problem (He was a Galkan)
Come 3-4 months ago, sometime during August to September I believe. a Gil Seller group under the leadership of Tusk moved in. The way Tusk worked was clever, have 5 bots set up to camp certain spots, and have his main character, Tusk, run around and do "Fucked <t>s Mom" Macros. Tusk's group was pretty unbeatable, not only was there Tusk's group but a second unconfirmed duo who camped the hell outa the first floor. Basically Gusgen Mines was not worth the time. Apparently he got in trouble a few times and eventually got banned a month ago, his characters deleted. for harassment of people or for botting the world may never know.
Rosehot and friends: The newbs of gilsellers
With Tusk gone there was much rejoicing in the mining community, not for long however, a new group had soon moved in. This group was headed by Rosehot and included such personalities as Elvaangirl, Goodman, Abigail, Marohaung, and Asurathief. all but Rosehot where bots. Now this group had a few problems going for it. Firstly they where all 49-50 so they tended to avoid the bottom most level of Gusgen mines that has 3 mining points in closeish proximity to each other because of agro. This was their first mistake, as a lvl 50 WHM I ran up and slapped the EP bombs, and got no reaction from them, w/e. Second mistake is they had no one on the first level clearing out the mining points there. If no one gets a certain set of mining points, they do not pop elsewhere, people can spend hours waiting for them to pop but they will not.
Finally they made their third mistake the most dangerous mistake they could make. But first some more personal back-story... ^^. I observed their glaring failings as an attempt to monopolize what I jokingly call my mine. Ask any of my friends and they will tell you that I do very well there and know full well how it works. That being said I worked out a respectable route in the bottome floor and started to talk to me fellow miners. Particularily Dabbeler and Kile where the NAs who still atempted to go deep into the mine. They where angry about the Chinese invasion as well and decided to write to a GM about botting. Looking back I should have done this as well but that is my mistake. Rosehot apparently got tired of my limited success in the bottom floor (And I was making an acceptable amount) and decided to steal one of my mining points. Now I like to think I am a nice guy, pretty easy to get along with and I like helping others, and I despise the stealing of mining points above all else. This bastard (I used far more racist comments in my LS, if someone is of Chinese descent I am sorry) however got on my bad side at the drop of a hat, or the swing of a pick. My response? I curse saying that this lil tarus ass is mine and when I am done with him he will wish for Michel Jackson. I proceeded to devote the next two days to stalking him and stealing his mining points.
He tried a few cute lil tricks to hide from me, changing macros and what not. Those did not lose me, so he tried invisible and he still did not lose me. I succeeded in stealing about 3 Darksteel ore and a gold ore from his mining points (Always remember to say thank you for your ore... they get more pissed). I talked with my other fellow miners and they agreed to help. All out war was declared... it was beautiful. They helped me keep track of my lil buddy as I started to call him and worked to help steal the sellers mining points. Rosehot was not happy, he kept doing that Chinese phrase of his and me, when he did I would /tell back {I'm Sorry} I can not speak your foul language. He would then tell me to leave or go away followed by his invis change gear macro. I track him down and slap him when I steal a mining point from him, at this point I screamed to him and everyone in the vicinity, "I'm the Fucken PREDATOR", before that it had been "You forget one thing, I am better then you". At one point I think he was trying to work with me and or bribe me. Did not work to well... Also when he told me to leave I said, "No you leave, get the fuck out of our game". He then attempted to switch between himself and Abigail, he logged out abigail started moving and then he logged back in, now camping this spot, sadly I lost track of Abigail. Having class in 10 minutes I decided to head on out. This however was for me the final proof of botting and I mentioned it to friends. This was the last time I would be able to see my lil buddy. After about 2 Solid days of our fight to reclaim out mine the gil sellers are gone. Completely and truly gone. They have not logged on in 2 days except for seeing Abigail and Elvaangirl on for less then 2 minutes at like 1 AM last night....
It has almost been two full days but here’s hoping it continues, I would like to label Gusgen Mines a "Clean Zone", those infectious shits are gone. Why are they gone? Is it because they got caught for blatantly botting, probably. Maybe a GM was watching and cheering me on from afar... Is it because I aggravated the shit out of him and got other people to follow suit, showing how much we despise him? I would like to think so...
