Video Card Problems?

I put the question mark in there because I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. It seems my computer monitor will not stay on and keeps flickering on and off. It doesn't just go to sleep or turn off, it will go from a second of showing the screen to blinking off and then going back to showing a second of the screen again. Is it my video card that is doing this or could it be something else?

And for those of you that are wondering I'm typing this up on the schools computer and probably won't be able to see your responses until Sunday.

It could be a loose connection?

Of course these are simple answers but alot of times i see that these are overlooked from the start.

Agree with above. Sounds like monitor connection for power or data could be loose. If it isn't, I'd lean towards monitor problem. A Video card going bad would more or less affect the image displayed or not display at all. Flickering is usually a monitor issue.
