Viking - Battle for Asgard

Should be moved to Multi-platform.

Otherwise it looks sorta like another hack n' slash but from a farther away third person view? Hopefully there will be an RPG element to it. This would be a great game to have it in.

Picked this up yesterday and just played it about 30mins, but it does have the RPG element to it. You pick up quests by talking to NPC's, buy runes for weapons and buy new attack moves. There's some nice visuals as you eviscerate enemies using a timed button mashing system like God of War.

Graphics look nice. I did have a problem getting the game to start right, it would freeze at the start of the opening movie. I restarted and didn't have the problem again.

ok, ive completed this game and i gotta say, id give it a 5.0 on a 10 scale.
If youve played conan, you wont be all that into viking.
Conan was far superior, and viking leaves you feeling like an empty version of conan.
The game is insanley repeatetive, The quests through the whole game are exactly the same, Go kill monsters, free vikings, talk to head viking, viking sends you out to earn his trust, you go earn his trust, vikings join you, repeat until you have enough vikings to go to war, summon dragon, go to war, kill wizards, giants, elites, win war, go to new continent.
Repeat all.
It wasnt horrible, but it was not great either. I really prefer conan to this, it had more detail, more grit and more realistic hacking and slashing, alot more moves, ability to change your weapons, this just lacked in alot of areas and one run through = no replayability. but im on my third run in conan.

The best thing this game has going is the war sequences, which after doing it about 2 times gets repeatetive too!
