Virtual Console: Wii-kly Update

It popped up at 9:00am PST for me.

I downloaded it and I'm playing it right now.
 
I sent alot of people on my friend roster a Trial Version of Dr. Mario Online Rx in the "Limited Version" feature in the game. I got my friend code for online play, too.

Meh. Buy "Metal Slug Anthology" for Wii. One of Wii's earlier titles.

Metal Slug 1, 2, X, 3, 4, 5, 6 and +Concept Art & Staff Interviews for $50 on one Wii disc.

More worth it.

Gamespot sells new copies of Metal Slug Anthology for $20 now. Well worth it, and I wish I'd known that before I bought the one off Xbox Live Arcade. Heh.

From what I understand though the controls on MSA sucked hard.
 
They weren't the best, but i wouldn't go that far about the controls. I'd say give em a try, and for $20 its super awesome. It just stinks that the wii is killing the market for all my super awesome games that i was going to sell.

They only "suck hard" if you're playing with a Wiimote + Nunchaku.

That's why I always play it with a Gamecube Controller.

If you use a Gamecube / Classic Controller, everything's fine.
 
So Japan gets a list of the VC titles releasing there in advance, though the exact dates aren't known for most of the titles.
On this list is Phantasy Star IV(good) and Super Mario RPG (great), hopefully North America follows suit and we get those sometime in June as well.

We damn well better.

I need something to wash the nasty taste of Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom out of my mouth.

Dr. Mario prescribed me some anti-depressants to keep from killing myself. Sadly, however, he was unable to remedy my chronic obesity.

Eh I enjoyed PSIII myself, back on the Genesis and on the VC, though yeah, it's the worst of the series imo.

Hope after IV they add Phantasy Star from the Sega Master System, since they've added that to the VC lineup, then we'll have all the non PSO/PSU Phantasy Stars.

There's also "Phantasy Star Gaiden" (as if I'd play it) on Master System / Game Gear.

Have you played the offline mode? So many FMVs, and each Chapter has an intro and an outtro ... PLUS a "Preview of the Next Episode"...

They tried to make it like half Space Opera, half standard Anime show.

I swear, I thought I was gonna see bad Karaoke Fansubs pop up in the intro and outtro somewhere.
 
God.. PSO's and PSU made me cry lol, wish they continued the series and not gone online with it, though PSV prolly woulda sucked if they did.

And yeah, I hope SMRPG comes soon, though I've been playing it for months on my Wii with the twilight hack/homebrew channel, along with Chrono Trigger and etc., I'm definitely spending 800-900 Wii Points on it when it releases to support the VC.
