I know I might have asked this before but...
When I WS with V stones equipped, "could" it use a stone and add an extra swing to my, lets say Steel Cyclone. Atm I swap my Bibiki Seashell in for SC with fort axe, but if V stone offers another hit, that would be better.

Not that I've noticed. But I doubt it since it's an technically an additional effect.

Since WS have a set number of hits I don't think it will add another hit. Somehow like KC don't add more hits to Hexastrike. The added hits are for meleeing only. Interesting question, because I've not seen this discused anywhere.

Double and Triple attack produce during WS, but things like Ridell, Joy toy, and V stonez does not seem to add additional dmg.

I heard that virtue weapons are an exception though, and that double attacks can actually occur ( and you loose a stone) during weapon skills. Easilly checked tbh.

I've heard people stating that it can add extra hits, but I haven't actually tried it myself, so I can't be sure. Personally, I'd have to say no, it does not. For all I know, the people that claimed it can add extra hits were subbing WAR.

The only bad thing about WAR main is the inability to sub war ;;

Well, yeah, but the great axe isn't the only virtue weapon, and they all have double attack :P

Interesting read, I'm eager to see an added hit on the SAVAGE BLADE animation. If it is posible thou.

pre-update my Highest WS ever on war was savage blade. It's still a sick ws. The virtue stones as far as I know have not proc'd on ws's, but jumps they have with /drg. I'd have to do further testing, it just hasn't been 'noticeable' to this point

I've noticed an increase in DA proc'ing on Steel Cyclone with my Fortitude Axe, but I've never really checked immediately after to see if I used up a stone or not. Might be something worth checking next time I exp WAR.

Double and triple attack procs do not change the animations of weapon skills. They still look the same, you just get a little more tp back and maybe higher damage.

Thx Euph, this is what I wanted to find out. I noticed the TP back thing when I started using Brutal. ^^

I would think so because the virtue weapon are the only weapons that can proc on a double atk. hench the reason a rdm can swing 5-6 times if brutal earring, justice and joyeuse proc or 3-4 when fort axe proc. Considering that a war get better dmg due to doubling atk on ws I would not see why same case would apply here if the axe double atk a double atk on a Steel Cyclone. However I've never sat and watch my tp gain to be certain.

I'm pretty sure it does. I have gotten 20 for a TP return when using a Fort. Axe while subbing SAM. 16TP for the intial hit and then +1 TP for every hit after which would be 4 additinal hits. RR is a 3 hit WS so thats 2 DAs in there. Unless every single hit can DA on a WS, but I was always under the impression that only the original hit and off-hand hit (dual wield only, possibly H2H as well) can DA.

still too hard to tell with a job that has DA (war or /war) the only way to really see is to watch your stones and hope you dont swing directly after your WS. Thanks for all the replies though.
