Virus help

Okay, i think my computer has a virus and its ANOYING! i'm trying to do the update for my game but it wont let me. we all know how theres an update a month, and how it has 3 parts. Generaly, the second part is the longest, and it gives us an estimated time how long the update will be. but the first part is like 10 mins long, the seond like 30 mins, and by the end of the second, it drops out saying theres connection errors. i run my anti virus program puting all viruses in the virus vaults, and it still does nothing! Can someone give me a tip or sometihng helpfull?

I'm not sure if that's a virus or not. I had that happen to me on the last update we had and it was annoying as hell. I'm on PS2, and none of our Internet connections at home have any viruses whatsoever.
