Visitor Messages - Reinstated

We welcome back Visitor Messages today. I found the permissions issue with FFXI Linkshell Area Mods and I'm hoping they cannot edit them anymore.

If there is a mod that can, please PM me or one of the mods and let us know. I will be looking at this again and making sure it works and it would make my life so much easier if people were honest.

i don't seem able to post visitor messages, i got a visitor message from xal a few moments ago though.
 
Looks like its fixed. I can't edit msg's anymore. Good job Miros.
 
Never got an answer the first time, are flames permitted or not?
While visitor messages can be deleted by the person they were left for, usually a punishment is called for in situations like that.

Just curious how I should conduct myself, and what should be done regarding a few people who have taken the opportunity to use this new feature in a unique way.

Edit: I still don't see a way to access the messages from user CP or the front page. Am I just freaking blind?

Are you able to moderate the comments that people leave on your visitor board?
 
KK, that secures my opinion. I've got a topic on Mod board and will get back to you when we get the details secured.
 
Under the "Deleted Items" header, I can see deleted visitor messages previously left on other people's profiles.

Good to know. I'll take a look at that ASAP. That defeats the purpose of deleted visitor messages huh?
 
you think it's ok to let us use spoiler tags?
 
I would insist on spoiler tags for NSFW stuff. Beyond that, I don't see the harm in it...
 
sorry was being vague again...

But basically the spoiler tags aren't allowed in comments, I made a comment on icewolf's profile by posting a large pic, I just wanted to spoiler it so it wouldn't cause so much space to be taken up.
 
I'm going to have to take a closer look at this when I get back from Jamestown. There isn't an easy on/off option I could find except disabling people from deleting messages...
