Okay, as you know. I'm an idiot when it comes to computers and I have no idea how to fix this. I'm playing on my laptop and FFXI keeps shutting down on me. I either assume it's cause my Laptops driver is ass(FFXI is really choppy) or it's cause I have vista built in.

Now, if it's the driver how do I go about fixing it? I know there's that driver thread in GD but I have no idea how to install any of that. Any tips?

If it's Vista I'm sure I'm screwed.

Anyone got any tips?

Lots of helpful stuff here. I was having the same problem. As far as chopping graphics go I adjusted my resolution in regedit. You're graphics drivers may be not be installed properly. I reformatted and reinstalled Vista and have had no problems yet. I'd suggest trying that.

How do I adjust my resolution or see if my graphics drivers are installed properly?

If your FFXI is crashing that may or may not even be a driver issue.

Computer specs?

Vista in and of itself is not crashing your game, I guarantee that - mine runs great.
