Just because I don't post in every topic doesn't mean I don't read everything. I've not forgotten why people jumped their shit at all. Give them the benefit of the doubt that they know what they are doing. Give them the benefit of the doubt that they are actually here to keep QCDN functioning and keep the site up and running.

1. I don't think QCDN turns a profit for them, so they aren't doing this for money.
2. QCDN is a large responsibility -- if you don't believe this, why instate 2 more site administrators?
3. The argument against ShinraOnline was weak as hell. "The boards are full of e-tards!!!" News Flash, QCDN has more than its share. lolRateDowns because you don't like that all I ask for is a little bit of compassion.

Give them a fucking break. The new theme sucks - they know this. Most everyone has bitched about it. You know whats amazing though? QCDN seems to be working again because Nox and Reeve did something as simple as allow Cmdr and Eleib be admins. Additionally, the permissions system seems to be working - no admins have complained and subscribers can now see who left reputation. Fact of the matter is, QCDN is functioning and on the way to being fixed up well, and everyone here still finds something to bitch about.

I stand by my 'naive' post Garvin, let them fix QCDN on a time table that fits their schedule and show a little bit of appreciation for it.

I did that for months before I ever even opened my mouth. They proved otherwise time and time again.

It is a large responsibility, one that Reeve knew when he accepted it. I can't claim to know why he made two more admins, probably due to the fact that he does nothing, and someone needs to be doing something.

The only thing I have to say about ShinraOnline is that it's equally poorly maintained and doesn't need to be promoted on this site at all. In all honesty, I almost wonder if the primary reason for Reeve and Nox taking over this site was a lame attempt to get people to come to their shitty site.

Making Cmdr and Eleibfrid admins was the only productive thing Reeve has done. Permissions work because Cmdr and Eleibfrid fixed them. QCDN is on the way to being fixed because Cmdr and Eleibfrid are fixing it.

It's naive because their "schedule" is more like "IF we get around to it, maybe, someday". The only appreciation goes to the two admins we have who are currently actually working to make this site better, Cmdrfly and Eleibfrid. In the time they've been admins, I don't think Reeve has done a damn thing to assist either of them as well, but you'd have to check with them.

The other two, who took up a burden, said they'd do something, and promptly dropped it, deserve nothing.

Eleibfrid and CmdrFly both have my utmost gratitude. Frankly, I have no idea which admins have fixed what. I don't really ... 'care, if thats the word?' If Reeve/Nox had not have let Eleibfrid and CmdrFly on as Admins, people would find something else to bitch about.

Its too bad that I feel I'm falling into the same 'bitch fit' everyone else on this board has succumbed to since the days of Sculli. All I have to say is "Thanks" to the Admins and Mod staff. Just as a bit of speculation here, and once again granting the benefit of the doubt, I don't think Reeve or Nox expected QCDN to have permissions all hack jobbed together.

Thanks to Nox and Reeve for taking over the site when Sculli left. It kept QCDN up and running atleast. Thanks to Nox and Reeve for listening to us when we wanted the Flameboard back. Thanks to Nox and Reeve for allowing us posting freedom not experienced in the latter days of Sculli.
More presently, thanks for recognizing the need to bring on more help to the admin team... ie CmdrFly and Eleibfrid.
Thanks to CmdrFly and Eleibfrid for fixing what were apparently long running issues.
Hopefully soon we'll have a working forum, with reasonable rules, reasonable mods, and a working forum.

To some that candy coats a lot, but thats a nice list of achievements I can't overlook.

From what I've heard, that wasn't due to Nox and Reeve.

I will admit that it is definitely positive that they took over, but I still can't say I trust their motives for doing so. And like I said, the most positive change was that he made some people admins who actually care. It's those two that we owe most of the changes here that can be considered positive.
 
I just want to know why sometimes when I click on a link to a thread, it shows as Nightshift, and not the QCDN2007 style we're stuck with atm.

Is there an explaination for this or am I just lucky? >.>

I think the answer is now to setup a paypal fund for Reeve so that we can buy him a monitor that supports a higher resolution then 800x600. We will need his info, maybe he can stop by and post it...






This is a trick to lure him out!

It's been a month and a half. I have been on this board since pretty much it's very beginning (look you can check my longevity WHICH NO ONE CARES ABOUT right there on the left!) I like this site, even if it is a cesspit sometimes. I don't like this skin, and the fact that we've heard nothing for a month and a half means we'll probably hear nothing ever.

Go copy the defaults off another board and restore them please this is needless frustration for the people who view this board. If you (mods and admins) cannot or will not fix this in a timely manner (A TIMELY MANNER IS NOT 2 MONTHS.) please find someone who can. I'm sure there is someone on this board fluent in whatever board code this thing runs.

I still cannot come up with a single good reason any board admin would remove or destroy thier system defaults. I've waited very patiently and you know what, I'm sick of it.
