Vorpal Scythe WS broken?

does anyone know what attributes the Vorpal Scythe WS depends on for damage?

during exp last night this WS was doing crap dmg about 3/4 times. i would do one for 300+ dmg, then the next 2-3 would do 27-100 dmg.

27!@#!@# WTH!! how can this WS do less dmg than a regular attack?!

i'm really begining to hate this WS, but i am locked on a SC with my THF.

Bingo, but also from my experience..Even at 300%, it won't always score a critical hit - especially on mobs with good evasion. Although, still pretty random if you ask me....

Its pretty much just a lottery hit, i was hitting at 500+ with it on some mobs and then under 100 on the same type of mob later on.

It still depends on STR for 35% of the dmg buffer that one site says. But if I had to guess I would say more dex would increase the critical rate?
