Goto the above site if you want to have some sort of say in how things will be done with some of the current endgame material. They intend to bring the poll results to their interview, and changes might actually be implimented if the turnout for the poll is large enough to make an impression.

It's very unlikely that a poll done by an LS will have any kind of practical impact, simply because SE wouldn't want to set itself up to "OMFG you did it for Teh Order, now do <insert request here> for us!".

I haven't read the poll, I know nothing about the end game, but if you do have valid arguments you are imho better off making them on the official FFXI boards.

That community is not just one LS Sculli, it is a site that focuses on endgame content and gets hits from at least 249 different endgame shells across all servers due to their Big Kills rank system. While not all of those shells participate on the board, many do. The popularity for the site is why they get interviews with SE reps to begin with In short, voting here will certainly not hurt, and will actually probably be considered. At the same time, making suggestions through POL's email suggestions/comments section always works too

It might not have any practical impact, but if the turnout is large enough it could surely be used as a reference material to formulate an argument or an assertion.

Wether SE perceives the results of these votes as the"voice" of the majority is entirely a different matter.

I didn't realize there were no SE run FFXI boards. I thought I remembered there being some, guess I mixed that up with pretty much any other MMO.

I know the Steel Warriors (warrior class message board) for EQ managed to get their voice heard by making good arguments on their board and then organizing a server wide sit-in in PoK (certain zone in EQ).

In a recent PlayOnline survey, a forum was one of the choices you could choose of what you'd like to see in the future.

Though, before FFXI came out in NA, PlayOnline.com was nothing but a forum for Sqaure-Enix games.
