So ... i ordered some RAM offa crucial yesterday ... >.> now keep in mind i've never personally owned a PC with more than 512MB RAM in it and previous to this PC busting 256Mb was something that only happened on occasion due to my pc's being horrors created in some basement somewhere:

Current system specs:
2.93Ghz Celeron
1.49Gb RAM <--- weeeeeeeeee! :D
128Mb Radeon 9200 SE

Other random numbers that i don't concern myself with that much cos it's a bargain brand Pc .. cheap but decent ... So i'm like one video card upgrade from slapping some wheels on this thing and racing it around the driveway.

What do you guys run? I can take the ego bruising, put em on the glass i wanna see some big numbers. :D

Very nice load of RAM ya got there ;D

I have 1,000,000,000,000 RAM on my NES

I had to crack up at this one, that'd be one heck of an NES XD

Currently running an old modified system of mine:
2.53 ghz Intel P4
Sound Blaster Live! 5.1
128 MB ATI 9600 series Radeon on an "All-in-wonder" card
1 GB RAM
(some other stuff, but my typing abilities are somewhat hindered atm)

Gotta admit, it's still going strong for a 4 year old system ^^

As for the Celeron comment, is it a Celeron D? I built a system with one for my little bro, and it's rather impressive for a Celeron from what I've noticed

indeed it is. This system is just under a year old it's a T3958, all in all it's a nice system for being a bargain PC. Unfortunately just about everything i'd want to change on it aside from the RAM and video card are all onboard ... but i mean .. they haven't even busted the 2ghz usage on processors have they?

:D I'm beyond tickled. I did everything i could to make WoW hiccup (used to chop all to hell on gryphons and had a pretty decent disconn rate in IF) it wouldn't even budge running 1280x1024 with all the bells and whistles turned on and up. I did however learn that 1280x1024 is an acquired taste .. bout made my eyes cross.

I officially hate you.

Your radeon card you listed on your computer probably has S-video support so you could hook it up to a TV if you wanted.

edit: reading text can be a problem most often though... unless you got HDTV going on.

My evil machine...

I've always built my own..
so it's easy for me to remember my machine stats..
I did an all round rough upgrade about 8 mos. ago... so it's a lil outdated:

Soyo Dragon kt880 ... love this board. it was the last generation of Soyo XP motherboards.. here are the basic front page stats.

AMD Socket-A AthlonXP, Athlon & Duron Based VIA KT880 Chipset ATX Motherboard Supporting 400 MHz FSB, DUAL DDR400/333, 8-ch audio, 8X AGP-PRO, overclocking capability, 10/100/1000 Giga-LAN, USB 2.0, Serial ATA with RAID Functions

I use an XP 3200+ amd processor with a Thermaltake adjustable heat sink/cooling fan.

1 gig of hyperx ram (Kingston 400mhz) the 880 board supports dual channel memory.

Dual SATA drives totalling 200gb of space

Evga 6800 ultra (256) 8x AGP vid... bastard of a gpu .. had to buy a new power supply for it since it required two independant molex connectors..

650watt Ultra power supply

Sony DVD reader drive along with an additional 16x dual layer burner.

rounded 166 ide cables for my dvd drives and floppie...

my digital audio, and lan were on the board... simple machine, and I have no complaints of speed.. though it does heat up from time to time with the GPU affecting it's ambient temperature... /sigh

I'm thinkin on buying a watercooled system to cool it, and reduce the noise this thing makes.. right now I have 2 fans in front and 2 in the rear not including the two on the power supply, one on the cpu, and the one on the vid card... I swear I hear the sides "thwump" together when I crank it on... sounds like an air tunnel.. LoL til I removed one of the sides to give it more breathing room...

yet, I still go to my ps2 to pay ffxi ... go figure.
